Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

Why doesn't Mel Gibson bring her a bottle of water and get arrested? Why doesn't Tom DeLay? Why doesn't Laura Bush, if no one in her family is able to do more than express a feeble preference? Where is a Cardinal of the Church? A Senator? Anybody with two good legs and the price of a ticket to Florida?

Because none of those people are committed to anything more than lip service for Terri...and promoting their re-released movie; hiding from ethical charges behind Terri; abiding by the weight of the polls, etc.

I NEVER SAID ANY SUCH THING AS YOU WROTE ABOVE. If I did, I did it in error. Good grief. I haven't been arrested. Why in the blank would I think those who haven't are NOT supporting Terri.

That would be totally INSANE. I do not want us fighting against one another. We are on the same team. Please don't think I meant that at all.

Dear Pepper ... I'm truly not trying to pick a fight with you at all ... I'm scared about how this thread has become an attacking ground toward those who ARE in support of Terri and her parents.

Perhaps I misunderstood you, but I took from your post that I responded to that you were criticizing Mel Gibson for not being at the Hospice. But He did make a very clear public statement in support of Terri, and we have no idea what responsibilities he may have that are keeping him from being there, just as we do.

Let's keep praying for Terri rather than blaming the Bushes and Gibson and others who HAVE done something for Terri.

If it weren't for Jeb Bush, her family wouldn't have had Terri these last two years, and I'm sure they're very thankful for those two years. And if Jeb would have had his way this time, he would've given them the rest of their lives with her. He stayed home from being with his own family for Easter just in case something came up that he could do.

I just feel STRONGLY that we need to focus on who's at fault here, not on those who DID work hard to keep Terri from dying. If our anger isn't targeted at the right places, we WILL lose this fight for life in America.

I saw the press conference with Randall Terry and the priest(?), reverend(?), anyway, where they said that they are going to Washington in Terri's stead for the hearings that the subpoena informed them of---

The problem that I see is, I watched the end of the House session and the end of the Senate session, and they both said they were adjourned until April 4th! Therefore, I believe this trip will be for nothing...

Thank you for saying that. Jeb is why we had Terri since the last time they tried to pull her tube. He bought her time, time with her family, time for a lot of people to get involved and learn more about the horrible things people are doing.

Every day she's had since then was a gift because Jeb cared enough to push the Florida legislature into trying to pass a law to save her.

Let us thank God for the extra time, and the work that he's been able to do through people like Jeb and Mel and the other people like you and me who care and are crying tonight because of the evilness done, the bad law, the culture of death and the soon to be loss of our friend.
