Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
amen
I saw the ambassador from the Netherlands on tv the other night. He said in his country they have 5 criteria to meet before someone can be euthanized.
The first one is that the patient must give consent.
You make some good points, but it is just getting so bad.
We've had over 44 million abortions, and now a pro-life president and governor are letting an innocent woman starve to death right before our eyes.
Once that happens, none of us are safe.
I'll bet my dad and your dad are up there right now having a grand old time!
Good! Thank you!
PS... And in my mind, Michael is no better than a common criminal. He's MURDERING Terri as surely as a John Couy murdered that precious baby.
I just heard that too.. my heart is just.. overflowing right now..
I was reminded of the memos when Michael Savage spoke about them on his show, last Thursday. Afterwards, the Thomas More Law Center reaffirmed the Governor's authority. In other words, they put out a statement that the memos are still valid (lest there be any doubt).

Jeb doesn't WANT to listen. Jeb doesn't WANT to act on it. If he did, then he would act.
There were things posted on the FR Terri threads indicating that there were individuals who knew something about the corruption surrounding Terri's case. Now that those facts are coming out into the open, Jeb should feel much more confident in taking the Law Center's advice. But he won't do it.
He could save Terri's life, and protect the Constitution, but he refuses to do it. So, the answer to your question is simply that Jeb doesn't want to do it.
If the laws counted for anything, the Governor and the President would be defending the laws. Instead they are sending a message to every judge in America, that they will not interfere with judicial decisions even if those are clearly contrary to the law.
It is getting bad friend, and it's gonna get worse.. I think one of the hard things will be to "keep our eyes on the prize" as it were.... to put blinkers on and not be tempted to turn and look back lest we be turned into a pillar of salt..
LOL! Wampus the Wise? It's more like Wampus the Royally P-O-ed.
Pop quiz:
Removing Terri's feeding tube is to _______ as Ft. Sumpter is to _______
Me too, Awestruck. I hope I'm as ready as I can be. The older I get (almost dirt! :), the more I just want to concentrate on my Christian life and less on politics. I'm getting so weary... It's been a long, long time that I've been fighting the political fight and I'm just flat wearing out. Tonight I'm really out of gas!

ACTION ITEM - Stay With Terri, and with Us
Earlier this evening a misspoken statement told supporters to go home and be with their families.
Terri Schiavo's father, Bob Schindler, would like to correct this with following statement:
"What I meant to have announced was that people should go home and go to church with their families on Easter Sunday. But not to stay home. We want people to continue to be here [at the hospice] with Terri, and with us." -- Bob Schindler, Sr.
The 24-hour vigil will continue in front of the Woodside Hospice, where Terri lives, located at 6774 102nd Avenue N. (near 66th Street N and 102nd Avenue N) in Pinellas Park, Florida
You lost me with that one and it's a bit of a stretch
The tomb is empty indeed, and death has been vanquished by the Savior!
You're right. This is the basis for our faith, and our hope. The risen Christ is with Terri right now.
Listening to Art Bell right now.. is he really on Terri's side?
I hope you have a Blessed Easter too Gramma. Tell Joe we said the same. ;-)
Hubby remarked last night that he believes the Bushies are going to use this case to argue for a return to the balance of powers... take some of the wind out of judical. He said Terri is just their "sacrificial lamb."
I wouldn't put it past them. I guess that contributes to my feeling of anguish tonight.
You two better not give up--we all need to "keep our eyes on the prize" and not give up... after all the Shindlers haven't given up the fight, so the least we can do is not give up trying to hold our elected officials accountable, and when they don't keep their promises, then we work to find someone who will---
like I said before--WE CANNOT let this country go down, we owe it to our children and grandchildren to fight for it!
God bless you, FRiend. You are such a breath of fresh air!
This is coming on in 15 mins on TBN, local antenna tv.
