Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
I suppose we shouldn't be so surprised that evil is being seen as good and good is being seen as evil...even here on FR. The Bible said this would happen.
I am finally online after having no internet or cable all day due to a major Tstorm. I've heard the latest on FL Supreme Court denial.
Going to backtrack poings!
I've sure missed yall today!!
That's how I see all of this too. I knew things were getting bad but I never thought it was this bad.
Not surprised at all...at least they didn't wait until tomorrow morning...
Nazism is here and is accepted...I am shuddering, truly.
I wonder how close we are. I think we just took a major jump.
you have FReepmail.
Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You are the God of All Comfort. If it were not so, this devastated family could not endure. Strengthen their bodies, for they are weary ... strengthen their hearts, for they are broken ... strengthen their family, for it is shattered. We uphold them before the Throne of Grace in the coming hours and days ... have mercy upon them, O God, have mercy upon their suffering. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen ...
Amen
I think we just took another jump, too. The Lord said it would get worse before it got better...even to the point of near annihilation. So I'm afraid we ain't seen nothin' yet.
Hi, Knitting -
Just got back in town and am trying to catch up. Thank you so much for this post - I really needed it. My husband and I were discussing Jeb on the way home and while he agrees that Terri's murder is dreadful, he doesn't share my anger at Jeb Bush and feels he did all he could. Your points are very well taken about how what we want is revolution and all we would get is insurrection. You are right that the cause of life in this country would probably be squelched so fast we would never recover. We need to work to get conservative judges in so that this never happens again, and to get conservative legislators in to change the laws. That would be extremely difficult if Jeb and/or George were impeached and the resulting chaos would be very destructive. Thank you for explaining this so succinctly.
Do you know where that is? I hardly ever read Revelations. But, I'm thinking I should start reading it....
No court, not one, not ever, has ruled for the Schindler's or Terri's life. It all started with Greer deciding what the "facts" would be. Only action by legislatures and/or executives, backed by determination and adequate force, or a law enforcement investigation and arrest of Greer for criminality, could possibly have freed Terri and her family from this fate. These entitities came with too little, too late to the fray, but in truth of intent, deliberate acts, will, etc. Terri was murdered by all of the judges that ruled to uphold Greer in this case. Those who refused to adjudicate a new trial after the new law was passed cannot blame it off on bad lawyering for the Schiavos. That is an excuse. They knew the intent was to give them a new trial, and they refused.
I've read that twice now, and I've shudder each time I've scrolled passed. I'm sickened.
I respectfully disagree quite vehemently.
"They knew the intent was to give them a new trial, and they refused."
Exactly, that is all they needed and then the real truth would have been known. Outrageous.
It is worse than Lisa's autopsy photos.
It gets hard when you are so close to something and it is a good cause and it's frustrated...But God is in control...He knows what he's doing for his reasons.
The Bushes no longer need support.
I'm supporting any person who is truly prolife and respects the constitution.
I do not give to the Repub party in general with funds, lest my money goes to the wrong people within that party.
I give to individuals who are good people, proven and tested.
lovely.
I hear that.
