Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Same here Knitting. I appreciate your take on this. Incidently, there are three sides to this: the ones who want and cheer for her death, the ones who oppose it firmly and... the ones who are aiming for the middle and "safe" ground or are in hiding on the issue, the ones whom I believe God despises more than those cheering for her death.
Oh yes, Pegita, yes.
Ok. Thanks for your understanding.
Yes, I don't doubt he can use her as a martyr...what I meant was that he doesn't sanction the conditions that are forcing her to become a martyr. I know you're not saying that, either, so please don't take my response as a suggestion that you are. I know where your heart is.
Remember the warning to the churches in Revelations...it was the luke-warm that bothered Jesus most of all...
Failing to do right when you see it is a sin, James 4:17, I believe (not an exact quote, but very close)

We are too.
Had it handy...:-)
Judges need to know that lawlessness will have consequences. So do cops who would follow illegal orders from such judges.
If judges are not slapped down SOON and HARD, it will be impossible ever to slap them down without bloodshed. The longer they go without being slapped down, the more bloodshed will be necessary.
np.
Yep, I know it.
I ache to hug all of you in this time of desperate frustration, cause it hurts to let something like this happen.
And I have been praying for all of you, as well as Terri, and the Schindlers.
May the Angels of Heaven minister to this wounded woman ... innocent of crime, yet condemned to death ... we love you, dearest Terri ...
I'm joining the Constitution Party. In fact I've already called them and am waiting on a response.
do you have a website or link for the Constitution PARTY that says what they stand for??
Knitting, consider how little comfort the Bushes have offered this family through this. Consider how little explanation they have offered Americans who care. Consider the lack of leadership. Just these faults alone say a great deal about these people.
Consider all the many law firms and Constitutional scholars who have said that either the governor or the president could have acted appropriately under the Constitution.
Sure, naysayers would give them hell, but is such hell worse than the kind of suffering Terri is undergoing now? Her tongue and eyes were bleeding according to Fox News this morning. Can you imagine being so dried out that your tongue is dry, cracked and bleeding with no saliva in your throat?
Keep this in the forefront of your minds, everyone please, as the coverup spin begins.
The Republican party is going to work hard to make excuses for these sins of omission. We ought to all be on guard not to allow their mesmerizing and smooth words cloud our thoughts regarding this atrocity.
The president and the governor have failed Americans, Terri, and the Schindler family through gross neglect and abandonment in fulfilling their executive role in the government. This is akin to terrorism when you consider what is happening. Torture on the worst scale. They have openly and willingly allowed it to happen when they have constitutional authority to stop it. The facts are below:

You can click below to read -- AND USE -- the five legal
briefs that explain to Gov. Jeb Bush that he has the legal
authority to save Terri Schiavo:

And for that, we need to work with the GOP, because no other party has enough people or chance to do something about the judiciary. If we withdraw, the dark one wins.
Kenth, I agree with you, but I pray they repent first. The Lord commanded us to pray for our enemies...and the best example of that is what he said to his torturers on the cross...Father forgive them. It's so hard to do...I have had the worst time forcing those words out of my mouth.
BTTT
May all who look upon her know that she has been visited by the Lord of Hosts ...
It will be years before us rank and file people actually know what went on. There will be press spin, people who want the Bushes to look bad's spin, spin from those who want the Schindlers to look bad, spin from the pro-euthanasisa spin, spin from the overly earnest anti-euthanasia group spinning, and then there will be what actually happened behind the scenes.
God knows.
But for the rest of us, too soon to tell.
You're going to love them. They're not very powerful yet, but their influence is certainly rising. I'll see if I can find a link for you.
