Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

I just don't understand why he won't act.

It's a mystery.

I believe that if Terri is killed, it will be a devastating blow for our nation.

The barbarians who cultivate death will have conquered.

The outlaw judiciary will reign supreme over the people.

And millions of elderly and disabled Americans will be mortally threatened by "death with dignity", courtesy of the Hemlock Society's George Felos and his ilk.

I was reading books written by Bodie Thoene. I had to stop in the middle of the book book the Jewish family been sent to the concentration camps. IT IS SOOOO INFURIATING! I know how the story is going to end. Roosevelt knew what was happeing and the US would do nothing. SIX MILLION Jews died and millions of others....

And now, I see this being played out in our country and people are letting it happen just like they did then. Why? ignorance? apathy?

I want to put the book down. All I can do is turn off the tv and stop coming to FreeRepublic. But the story is still going...

Judge Roy Moore (of the 10 Commandments) said the other day that this is already a constitutional crisis between 2 branches of govt, and Jeb Bush should go ahead and force the issue, because it has to be dealt with eventually.

I guess they can continue to let the judiciary reign, and there will be no "constitutional crisis." Someone just posted that all Bush nominees for federal court in NJ have been pro-abortion.

How clearly we are seeing the need for Judges on every level who look to the Constitution for interpretation.

Does not the constitution of the United States give our president the authority to issue a executive order to save Terri? This is the question! President Bush and other Constitutionalists disagree on this point. I think this is where we are all dividing. Most of the Christian leaders, James Kennedy, Jim Dobson, Pat Robertson, Catholic Dioceses are saying YES, you do have the constitutional authority to do so. Time will tell who was right anyways.

I think the Bush nominees in NJ are pro-abortion or the two Democrat senators would exert "senatorial courtesy" and kill any prolife nominees. So Bush is really overruled in that situation by Corzine and Lautenberg.

One small thing this situation has taught me:

Judgeship elections on the local and state levels count.

I will always do my best to learn about people running for judges, who is backing them and why from this day on. Too many times I've just picked one, not knowing anything.

Those days are over for me.
