Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Then are you saying, pollywog, that the Iraqi effort should now be disbanded as a fool's errand. America will be destroyed from within: I think the popular V.I. Lenin said the same thing. Imagine too the glee of Fidel Castro this weekend. Castro has defeated ten presidents!
The Bushes, DCF, and FDLE are SPINELESS COWARDS
ZIP, ZILCH, NADA!
It just whistling in the dark, blatant accusations & slander at it's worst!
"I personally for myself had to give up the right to anger...I give it to God, give him my rage and hurt and grief, then try to discern what he wants me to do"
Beautifully said. We have an obligation to pray for all sinners (including ourselves) to come to repentance and receive the forgiveness of Christ, which is the TRUE MIRACLE OF EASTER!
It was beautiful and moving and very comforting.
You are so right, friend.
Exactly...you can't ever stop working for God...finding the balance is hard. I cannot do it in anger...I always fall when I do!
Exactly. God will instruct us what to DO. Jesus was busy doing God's work....He will instruct us what that is. But we are not to be "busy with anger," of that, I'm positive. Are we not God's light in the world of darkness and lies? This means TRUTH MUST BE TOLD. In Terri's case, that may continue to be our mission....until the "right" person, with a softened heart listens and hears....and we pray, acts on that truth.
there are none so blind as those who shall not see. I dont have time for your nonsense
I'm not doing well. This has affected me in ways I cannot make anyone understand. Now my husband thinks I'm to close to this. I've been crying all morning!
Lord, I give you all the control because I do not understand! Please give me peace! Give Terri peace. Give Terri's family peace!
AMEN!
Thank you for all this. I'm printing this out and will be distributing it. Our kids also want it for future school debates.
Prayers for Terri and her family. Prayers are the only hope Terri has now.
Goodness no!! What I am saying is that we need to take a TALL LOOK at the " terrorism" that lies right here on our soil!! We cheered and wept when we saw the statue of Sadaam being ripped down by the people of Iraq. And yet, we here in America are allowing the most gross sins of immorality to grow in the fertilizer of complacency, and acceptance.Abortion, gay marriage, and now Euthinasia!.....we need to be militant on BOTH fronts.
Michael Schiavo Plans to Cremate Terri
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/3/26/73839.shtml
Michael Schiavo has taken steps that will prevent investigators from examining Terri Schiavo's body for evidence of abuse after she dies - a suspicion her family has repeatedly raised as her death grows more imminent.
Schiavo's attorney George Felos told the Washington Post on Friday that Terri will be cremated and buried in a plot owned by Michael's family in Pennsylvania.
Terri's parents had filed a request with the court to block the cremation plans, saying it would violate the religious beliefs of their daughter, who was a practicing a Catholic.
But as with every other motion filed in the case on behalf of Bob and Mary Schindler, the Florida courts have rejected the request.
A 1991 bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo showed unexplained injuries to her vertebrae and legs.
Terri's brother Bobby Schindler told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" on Thursday that a doctor has testified that she might have been strangled before she was found unconscious in her home in Feb. 1990.
Thank you pc93 very much.
My heart wretches seeing that photo of the Schindlers. When you consider how decent they have been verbally with all the people killing their daughter - it's mind boggling.
I cry seeing Bobby's face as he sees his mother's intense pain. It was be horrible for the men in this family since it is a "normal" man's nature to protect.
Even better.
I've been thinking about this also, especially as it relates to President and Governor Bush. I'm very disappointed they haven't taken Terri into custody, but I think we really need to be careful about burning up a lot of energy in anger toward them when that energy should be going into prayer and into bringing the truly bad guys to justice.
Both Bushes have made it very evident which side they're on and that they're distressed about what is happening to Terri. Both have gone to extra lengths to save Terri. We feel they could both do more, but who am I to stand and judge?
The Lord keeps reminding me of an incident a number of years ago in which some family members and I were in a crises with a person who was very mentally disturbed. We called a couple we knew to come and help us out. They said they would, but then called back and said that they felt a restraint from the Lord that they weren't supposed to come. I was angry, because I felt we really needed help.
But later it came out that there was a connection between this person and this couple that would have been explosive should they have come, and they were right to have followed the Lord's restraint in coming.
I've since then been very hesitant to judge why another person doesn't do what I think they should. In the end, it is between them and the Lord. I don't know Jeb Bush as well as President Bush, but everything I've seen so far in Pres Bush tells me that he does what he believes is right no matter the opposition. I have to believe that is true in this case as well. And if he has made a mistake in not acting, haven't we all made mistakes, terrible ones at times? He's overall a good man, and I think he still deserves our support and prayers.
Let's put our energy into praying for President and Governor Bush. This must be a terrible weight on their shoulders as it is on ours. Let's pray for clarity of mind for them in knowing without a doubt whether they should act or not.
