Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
"That's something else I just cannot understand. Most Christians and conservatives are anti-abortion and identify themselves as "pro-life". Yet they advocate the starvation and dehydration of Terri. "
I somewhat do not buy this...if any Christian really thinks this way, it is because they are believing the MSM and their misinformation and downright lies. The polls are skewed toward their liberal thinking so they can report and make us all think that Christians feel this way. Do not trust them. Everyone I talk to, including my parents who are in their late 60's think that President Bush should go in there and take Terri out, they are not concerned at all with the action congress took for Terri, and in fact suipport it. The MSM is lying. They are angry because of how we voted for the President and are afraid WE are taking over so now they are trying to turn the tide.
No kidding!
We now know invulnerable is in quotes.
No news would air it. They're too busy saying it's ok and painless.
Can we not fight amongst ourselves..?
think last night or maybe the night before it was noted that so many people have had to "pull the plug" on a relative and feel guilty so therefore cannot be against this because that would be admitting that guilt. Also I had a talk show host today say somewhat the same thing.
These other folks don't rate, I guess:
Liberals for Terri
Democrats for Life
Kate Adamson (Recovered "PVS" patient)
Rus Cooper Dowda (Recovered "PVS" patient)
Not Dead Yet - The Resistance (Disability rights organization):
The Justice Coalition (Crime victims organization)
Agudath Israel (Jewish organization)
Jews for Life
Feminists for Life of America
Hardly Christian, right wing, right to life types. Heck, a couple of people listed above actually have personal experience with this very issue, and can put Naysayers to a cryin' shame.
A woman is being murdered. The fact that the Judge refuses to allow Terri to be fed even by mouth, and there is no diligent attempt at proper diagnosis or rehab, proves this is only about outside parties trying to kill a patient, not about the patient's "rights" or dignity.
As for government involvement, within reason this is not always a bad thing. Ever hear of domestic violence? child abuse? Racism? Sex discrimination? These acts all involve someone's "private" matter, choice, or preference. Do we really want to let it be? Or can you see that when one's choice or preferences violates another's human or civil rights, sometimes officials must step in?
Terri is a prime example, as she is a victim of involuntary euthanasia. There is nothing dignified about Court-ordered killings of the disabled. Although I am beginning to get the sense that some able bodied folk consider it a noble sacrifice.

The Hapless Misadventures of the Pinellas County Court System: An incestuous tale
If this doesn't leave you scratching your head in confusion and wondering how this is happening in the year 2005 when our legal system is supose to be squeaki clean, you have no hair!
Judges are impartial, right? Not Judge George Greer, the judge that has ordered Terri Schiavo executed by starvation and dehydration, twice.
Our good ole boy judge has worked side by side as county commissioner with Barbara Sheen Todd (county commissioner) for eight years. Barbara Sheen Todd is on the board of, you guessed it, the hospice where Terri Schiavo is kept prisoner by her husband, Michael Schiavo, who lives with another woman that he has two children with.
Also, Judge Greer's fellow judge, Judge John Lenderman is the brother of Martha Lenderman, also on the, you got it, the same hospice board.
Our fine judge accepted as the basis of his rulings, the questionable testimony of Michael Schiavo that Terri would wish to be killed, yet Michael never stated this until after he had received the 1.2 million dollar settlement during which time he portrayed himself as a loving husband that just wanted to bring his wife home and take care of her.
We can never understand Your timing, but we can simply trust in You. You are aware of everything. You have commanded Your angels to sweep down and surround Terri and to keep her in all her ways. You are hiding her in the shadow of Your own wings. Holy Lord, our hearts feel as though they will break; yet we wait in faith, looking to the Source of everything we need. You have commanded us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything to pray with praise and thanksgiving, letting our requests be made known unto You.We approach Your Throne of Grace, praising You for all You are doing. Our senses cannot know what is actually taking place in the spirit-world. You are in complete control. We acknowledge You as Lord and King and we exalt You, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Me, too.
Thought of a facet/answer for trolls/naysayers:
When sheep complain the gov is INTERFERING in people's private lives, over legal gaurdians, whether it be husband, parents, they are only using this case, happens everyday gov intervention of abused CHILDREN (for the chilllllrun), over THEIR gaurdians?
(Sorry I don't kow how to make italics).
Lord, please give Your people stength to do Your work. Help us not to quit. Give us all of us boldness to say and speak truth. Let Greer's office people confront him with truth.
Lord, give us wisdom as who needs to hear the truth. If ears are closed, help us not waste our time with them. If hearts could be opened by Truth, bring us those opportunities.
Cast the demons out of Michael and the woman he lives with. Let them come to repentance NOW and release Terri and allow her to have water and food.
There are 5 advisories to Gov Bush,Thomas More is the last one.
I don't think he's on Bush's team. This doc was sent to Gov Bush the last time in Oct 2003
Sadly, those people don't understand the difference between 'pulling a plug' which is prolonging a death and pulling sustenance to cause a death.
Amen, gentlestrength. Amen. We must keep praying.
