Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

The respirator pulling isn't quite as bad...

Sometimes patients whose respirators are pulled start breathing on their own. But even if Terri were to ask for a Coke and a cheeseburger the guards would forbid anyone from giving them to her.

"What about a massive freeper email campaign to the White House?"

The president can write an executive order to get Terri into a hospital immediately. It is not breaking any law to do so. The judge can still take time to ruminate over this case. This action would not interfere with the judge. And since Greer already flaunted a Congressional subpoena his ruling is highly questionable.

Executive orders are lawful. They've been written by presidents ever since Washington on a number of different issues.

Contacting the president and ask him to write an executive order immediately. If you cannot reach him, then contact your state senators and representatives.

Good memory! I think that was an invitation .. that's why we were all so sure that the tube wouldn't be removed, because she was called before Congress. As I said, there will probably be a lot of legal actions provoked by the events of this week. not the least of which, I'm thinking, for Greer. I'll bet there are TEAMS of attorneys working behind the scenes.

Not only did "The Hammer" speak and take action, I think the hammer is going to fall on some people. Lawyers will be lawyering this week's events, and the new dirt they're digging up, for some time. That's why I feel that GRRReer's judging days are winding down, and NOT A MINUTE TOO SOON!

As I heard Bill Bennett describe, in effect the Congress by their actions, and the President, by his involvement and committed statements, politely asked the court to please look over this case and just give it one more look before the lady has to die. Those highly placed officials were expecting the respect of a positive response to their respect... they didn't ask for an outcome, just one more look to make sure everything was kosher.

Now I don't know if Gibbs screwed up in how he framed his motions .. but the fact that the top leaders of these two other branches of government were in effect dissed, as if they were peons can just not be sitting well.

Those leaders were obviously slapped in the face by Greer previous to the law that was passed this weekend, and Whittemore after they worked to get the bill passed. They dissed the President of the United States of America!

God only knows what the fallout will be .. but you just know the wheels are a-grinding in the backrooms of our gummint legal eagle offices.

Could someone please explain to me why Michael Schiavo rejected offers of both $1 million and $10 million to relinguish care of Terri?

I am sure he was salivating at the thought of that money, but if he said yes it would let the public really know he was a loser, but also it would mean her parents win and could start an investigation against him and he had to decide what was more appealing, jail time or $

Schiavo had also promised to move Terri to Shands? Sands? when he got the money for more intense rehab. When the Schindlers brought it up, he blew a gasket. This fight was the cause of the deteriorated relations between them.

That reminded me of this news from Michigan:

http://www.themorningsun.com/stories/032305/sta_spouse001.shtml

"LANSING (AP) — A Michigan lawmaker is working on legislation that would prohibit a spouse having an affair from denying food, fluids or medical treatment to a wife or husband who cannot make such decisions."

I heard one of Michael's brothers say on Fox tonight that MS spent part if not all of the $300K on his nursing education.

He rejected those offers because he has to make sure Terri dies to get rid of all the evidence of abuse and neglect. If he accepted the money, she would live. Can't have that.

Just this afternoon my mother and I were discussing this subject. She said she'd always thought she would want to be taken off any kind of life support, but now she feels like it would be selfish to ask any of her children to sign off on that and have to live with it.

I'd just wonder what would happen if one year later the medical community came up with a new procedure that could've helped me if I'd been kept alive. How would my loved ones feel if that happened? I figure if God wants to call me home, He'll do it with or without machines. If I'm still alive, it's not my time yet.

Four months after Michael got the award, just four months, he discontinued Terri's therapy. Michael had promised the Shiavo's money to help care for Terri.....they didn't get any of it.

Michael Schiavo CLAIMS they were angry they didn't get money out of it. They claim they wanted it for Terri's care. I have seen and heard both families. I would believe the Schindlers over the Schiavos any day. I was stunned by how rough, arrogant and threatening the Schiavo brother's were. And definitely BULLIES. They told a number of lies.

On Larry King Live, Michael said withdrawing food and water from Terri was NOT starvation. If Michael will lie about something we can all call him on, what else has he lied about??????

I was thinking the same thing, I think it would be great
if mister Herrick(sp?) would say to Jeb Bush or the DCF...

"If you take her into protective custody for 60 days while you investigate, I'll pay up to a million dollars for her to get the best possible, care, treatment and rehabilitation during that time."

(So then it wouldn't cost the taxpayers a dime, and the libs screaming would just sound like a howard dean primal scream)
