A woman is arrested for trying to give water to someone who is dying of thirst? Talk about a need for "living water."

Reminds me of the scene in Ben Hur when Judah tries to give water to Jesus but is quickly pushed out of the way.

I refuse to condemn these cops doing their job.

Yeah, "just doing their job", same thing this SOB said when he was beating Jews to death at Theresienstadt.

So, cops are supposed to sublimate their sense of morality to people who write the laws?

Tell you what, let's put a 100 people on feeding tubes behind a chain link fence, remove the tubes, then have the cops keep people from taking them water or sustenance. Why not? It's legal, the courts say so....

Blessed are the merciful, for they will obtain mercy.

So much for LoRuhamah (Florida, USA).

" Accusing a judge of being on the take is a heckuva charge."

Why else would someone order that a disabled woman be deprived of water until she dies of thirst? A logical person can only assume that the judge is either insane or in on the take.

He's following the law. The husband is the legal guardian. He has made this decision. The judge cannot find any legal reason to deviate from the law.

Freepers usually flip out when a judge substitutes their personal views over the letter of the law, and yet they're calling this judge names for refusing to be an activist.

THe law here is obviously wrong. Which is why the congress in Florida ought to be involved. A husband shouldn't be allowed to murder his wife.

THe law here is obviously wrong.

Perhaps, but that is not up to the judge to decide.

Correct.

Judges make calls I don't like or agree with and I get furious!

Then I calm down and realize, They are following the LAW.

Well logic sure as hell isn 't what this scumbag judge is using in this case. Occam's razor says he's on the take.

Afraid so. The police are sworn to uphold the law, not their individual senses of morality. If an officer doesn't believe he can in good conscience uphold the law, he would be honor bound to resign his position.
