I am listening to WLS from Chicago. It works with windows media player. With wabc.com you need a real one player that I do not have at work.

Rush is really letting them have it.

Thank you. We should probably have a Live talk show thread in general to monitor the counter offensive waged by the MSM to deny Terri her life.

I thank Rush for standing firm for terri.

Does anyone know if someone other than this discredited Dr. Hammesfahr(sp?) has ever claimed that Mrs. Schiavo could ever walk with the parallel bars or swallow?

When will the govt deny citizens life-saving medications (hypertension, cholesterol, etc.)? Supposing we took Ted Kennedy's liquor cabinet away. How long would he live afterwards?

Michael Shaivo will, for the rest of his life, carry the stigma of causing his wife's death. One can only pity his children who will also be affected by it.

Whether or not he "remembered" Terri making a statement about what she wanted in this type of situation is clearly not why he is carrying out his actions now. A real, loving man would have acted much differently. He was entitled, after years of the reality of her situation was obvious, to make a new life for himself. He should have divorced Terri when he became involved with another woman. I do not fault him for that desire. I do fault him for not simply deciding that he had tried all that he felt he could/should and realize that it was time to move on. By saying that he did his best, and placing Terri in the hands of her parents to decide her future, he would have not only been more manly, but also more loving toward her.

If he truly loved this new woman, and their children, he would not subject them to such chaos either. He has no love for any woman. His agenda is self-centered and uncompassionate.

I don't suppose brainy liberals are bothered by the fact that offing the disabled is, historically speaking, decidedly fascist.

That would require some intelligence - or at least some semblance of morality. But, just like the eugenicists in fascist Germany, I'm sure they've told themselves that death is generally in the best interest of the "inferior" or those who are a "drain on society."

I am afraid Terri is not going to make it this time; what a terrible way to die.

IMO, the issue lies more with George Felos/hospice where Terri is being kept. It seems, at least to me, that there's some heavy duty fraud that's been going on.

What I wonder is if all this evidence existed before why has it not been presented in her former court cases and been shown by the media? Doesn't it seem odd that if the family could prove their case they would not have presented these pictures long ago? Where did they come from and when did they turn up? Was her husband hiding them? If this was presented why did the judges over look it time after time? Something is weird here. Remind me never to go to court in Florida. They seem to mess everything up when it comes to legal matters.

Rush hit on a key point here.

Liberals claim that these issues, including abortion and right to die, etc., are a matter of privacy. Yet these same people want the taxpayers to fund these private things, like abortion and stem cell research. Great argument showing the hypocrisy of the other side.

I think we really have to reconsider these laws where the spouse decides who lives or dies. This could happen in many families.

Possibly we should protect people who need feeding tubes and can't speak for themselves. We are seeing that there is a huge difference between a dying person being let off the machines that breathe for them, and taking away a healthy disabled person's feeding and hydration. Should we allow feeding tubes to be removed, in nonterminal disabled people?

This woman's plight really makes me heartbroken. If her parents want to care for her, why doesn't the husband just leave them alone?

Nothing is stronger than the bond between parents and their children. Marriage does not even come close.

None of those pictures are those of a woman in a coma or a PVS. Anyone who tells you you don't understand what a PVS is you tell 'em they've moved the goal posts and redefined PVS for their own purposes. A PVS just frickin' lays there. It's like a coma with no chance of recovery. Frankly, I tend not to believe a dr. who says "no chance of recovery" anyway, they're probably just trying to clear the bed. My mother had no chance of recovery four or five times before the real thing. They kept telling her she had to sign a DNR. She kept telling them to go screw themselves. Then they would retaliate. It was a big f'n mess.

Rush called the nurse who appeared on Fox and Friends this morning "Carol" when her name is Carla.

He then went on to say that what she said on tv was exactly what her affidavit stated. That is not correct. She appears to have embellished her insulin charges since signing the affidavit.

Affidavit of Carla Iyer, nurse who cared for Terri Schiavo from April 1995 to July 1996

excerpt

It is medically possible that Michael injected Terri with Regular insulin, which is very fast acting, but I don't have

-6-

any way of knowing for sure.

~snip~

Nothing about all the injection spots she claimed on tv today to have seen. In addition, why did it only seemingly occur on her shift and didn't evidently happen after she was discharged for the unstated other reasons she was given.
