Terri Brother ..................Terri early on in a hospice .................. Michael has let his wife deteriate!
Compare the early Hospice Photo
At this time Terri was able to chew and swallow and was learning to use the pararall bars to walk again...as soon as the malpactice law suit was won Michael Schiavo remember his wife wanted to die...so he would move her from one location to another every time they thought she was ready to start rehab again!
Lets try to have the same page to fight the MISLEADING OUT THERE!
I provided the links upthread.
Oops. I posted to myself there. I posted the links upthread.
I'm afraid I don't get your point. I'm sorry. Maybe because I'm tired.
Promoting death is so tiring.
Oh, I hadn't understood that point. I apologize.
Well, if we want to keep people who have no brain activity hooked up for years on machines waiting for a cure, why not. It will be unsustainable financially for Medicaid and the health care community, but I'm sure we'll find a way to pay for it.
And in the interim, I've yet to meet a person who wishes to be kept in a PVS state and hooked up to machines for upwards of 15 years and no end in sight.
Show me where I've promoted Terri's death. You're a dishonest freeper.
Thank you for the compliment
Yes, he is a man who says what we all want to say but don't have forum in which to say it...That is until Free Republic. :) Anyway, Rush is quite a guy. Talk about brilliant. Wow. Everything I know about politics today has been from the last 14 or so years I have been listening to Rush Limbaugh. Thank GOD for him!!!!
??????????? Profanity? Rush? Radio Show? When?????
I'm not worried about hillereeee. She won't make it as President. She is old hat, stale, and won't get past questions people ask her without screaming like a banchee when she loses her temper. She's done. She rode the coattail of willie is all. She's only convinced those who are not smart that SHE is the smartest woman in the world. Hmmmm, wonder if ole hilleree would like to sit and debate the dignified, brilliant Condi Rice? I think NOT.
True but...a socialist society operates like we are doing now.
Rush is the man.
Personally, I think that this country has the obligation to decide what we as a people think is acceptable, and it shouldn't be decided by the odd judge here or there.
That he is. He smushed the "I am a conservative Republican, but ...." caller such that I was visualizing a spot on the wall somewhere in caller land ;)
Miss Marple, I understand the point. However, the State of Florida, and a lot of other states consider feeding tubes to be life saving measures.
I have come to realize that most freepers did not consider a feeding tube to be a life saving measure and so have been occasionally using that term to make a point.
I think a national conversation is a good idea about this matter. This kind of thing is rarely litigated in the courts. Senator Frist said the courts only see this 4-5 or 5-6 (I've forgotten) times a year. Of course, he was wrong about a few other things he said too so I don't know about the veracity of that statement.
But when we discuss this with people, let the national dialog be clear about what life saving measures are all about. Including the fact that our medical community and Medicaid cannot possibly sustain the cost of keeping people who have no quality of life alive indefinitely.
Oops. And I see you knew that the Florida definition was equated with a ventilator.
I've had so many pings that I'm about read out, if you know what I mean.
I am so angry right now. Why can't President Bush pardon Terri? Former POTUS Clinton pardon Terrorists and Drug Pushers and yet, we can not save one woman from being starved to death???????? My God, her parents want to take care of her and yet we prefer to have her starved.....
I don't know the answer to that question but I DO know if President Bush could step in there legally he would do so. We are all angry. Those out there are just waiting for her to die. They will have the blood of Terri Schiavo on their dirty, filty hands for the rest of their lives and I hope it haunts them all so bad after she is gone that they can't stand to be in their own bodies. They might think this is over when she passes but...it is FAR from over and God has taken in every single second of this horrific event. They WILL be sorry. He will remember each and every one of them on judgement day as the REAL JUDGE administers justice.
By the way Peaches, be damn nice to your family, you never know when they may think you are too much of a strain on the old family budget whether you agree or not......Can you see it now? Every time you go to the Doctor or to the hospital, start to worry you just may be taken as being a burden to society. Eskimo's use to take their elderly and put them on icebergs to feed the polar bears. Don't have any icebergs in Southern California, maybe us oldsters better start thinking about heading south of the border if we want to die on our terms. You my dear were born in the wrong generation and wrong country. You miss your calling a couple of generations ago. There were a whole race of people marching lockstep with your way of thinking. I'm telling you people, Peach is pretty much telling you what is coming....So baby boomers pay attention, because there are those that are hell bent in making sure you will not be a "burden" their definition to society and your family is not going to be able to save you. By the way Peaches, have you ordered your burka yet? I bet you are a real class act in powder blue.
It's impossible to have a discussion about anything these days without someone playing the Nazi card, isn't it?
I think it says more about you and your lack of ability to discuss the issues honestly. That's just sad.
