It's impossible to have a discussion about anything these days without someone playing the Nazi card, isn't it?
I think it says more about you and your lack of ability to discuss the issues honestly. That's just sad.
You stated the following:
Including the fact that our medical community and Medicaid cannot possibly sustain the cost of keeping people who have no quality of life alive indefinitely.
Your words not mine, so define quality of life. You made the statement so clarify it. I feel people with small minds are a waste of breath but who am I to decide...
Peach, this is not sad because you are the last person I would expect to have an intelligent dialog with. As I have said before, be nice to your family and pray that someday society will not want to put you down worse than a rabid animal.....because this is were we are heading and you know that....What is the issue here? We kill our unborn because even though there are plenty of birth control methods to go around....Somehow it is just easier to get rid of it. Abortions are declining so now we go after the baby boomers. Is that the next get rich quick scheme? Oh Peach, Peach, Peach....So So So Sad....
"It's impossible to have a discussion about anything these days without someone playing the Nazi card, isn't it?"
The whole "any reference to Nazis is off-limits" argument is extremely lame.
Why should thinking people not be allowed to discuss a case where euthanasia was implemented, and learn from it?
Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
We've been predicting this for our country for over 20 years--as soon as someone is allowed to put a value on another life in order to decide if it can continue to live or should be killed (abortion), inevitably infanticide and euthanasia follow. We've passed those two hurdles as a society. What's next???
