You never responded to my earlier comment to you about the decision that was made by the U.S. Supreme Court in the 2000 presidential election. Were the 5 votes that gave Bush the presidency "5 appointed people dictating your life?"
I'll bet you liked it when the U.S. Supreme Court (the final arbiter) decided in favor of Bush (by stopping the ballot count in FL) over Gore. That was one court decision that made you happy, I'm sure. It all depends on whose ox is being gored, or whose opinion you like as versus don't like. Not a good way to run a country.
