Angered by the lastest political developments in Washington, Michael Schiavo said Saturday that it isn't just the governor who should visit his wife to learn about the case.
'Come down, President Bush,' Schiavo said in a telephone interview. 'Come talk to me. Meet my wife. Talk to my wife and see if you get an answer. Ask her to lift her arm to shake your hand. She wont do it.'
She won't, Shiavo said, because she can't.
He made a similar offer last week to Florida Governor Jeb Bush saying lawmakers interfering in his wife's life know nothing about the case.
So far, Governor Bush has not responded to the offer. President George W, Bush has said he will sign any federal legislation that will keep Terri Schiavo alive.
Michael Schiavo also said that US Congressional House Majority Leader Tom Delay is a 'little slithering snake' pandering for votes.
'To make comments that Terri would want to live, how do they know?' Schiavo said of the members of Congress who want to keep Terri alive.
'Terri died 15 years ago,' referring to the collapse and cardiac arrest that doctors say virtually destroyed her brain. It's time for her to be with the lord like she wanted to be.'

If Michael had returned the settlement monies he received maybe I'd feel different...he also received big bucks for loss of sex...maybe Jodi got some of that money since she corrected the sex problem.
You and I are on the same wave length -- scarey to think that he may just get away with it too!
He's starting to PANIC!!!! Wonder why...could be 'cause he's the one who put Terri in the state she's in right now. Now he wants her dead so he can get control of the rest of her money!!! And it ain't all gone either, as many claim.
You bring up an interesting point -- if he got money for loss of sex and now how two kids by another woman then he should return the money as he has his sex back!
So much about this case just plain stinks--yet a certain group seems ready--even anxious--to accept every Michael Schiavo word as absolute truth. Just amazing.
Patients in a persistent vegetative state have recovered, usually in the first six months, sometimes longer. He didn't know if she'd recover, when, and if she did recover, what state she would be in.
We have the benefit of 20-20 hindsight. He didn't.
No one has come out of a PVS after 3 years. Michael waited for 8 years before he requested that the court decide if she should have her feeding tube removed.
That court decision was based on medical testimony and testimony from those she talked to before, saying that she wouldn't want to live that way.
Thanks so much, Vision!
If as her "husband" states -- "..she died 15 years ago".. is true:
1. Why hasn't he divorced her, and married his new common law wife that has given birth to two of his bastard children.
2. If he won't divorce her -- why not surrender her care to the family that still loves her and wants to work with her..
3. Has the sorry bastard spent ANY of the money on CARE?
4. What has he spent the money on?
5. Why did he wait so many years to "recall" her wish to be left to die in similar circumstances?
The man is NOT a credible "witness" or man.

He's got real little eyes.
You are wrong. Just a few weeks ago, a woman who had been in a coma for almost 20 years came out of it, apparently intact. Fortunately, though, this is not up to you. It's in wiser hands at present.
It fits his real little heart and soul
I think they'd also remark on the lack of care she's received, and say basically that it's like grading a student who hasn't even been tested yet.
That's my honest answer, hope it doesn't seem like a cop-out. If they said anything less positive than that, I'd really be surprised, and have to re-think it at that point.

Exactly! I still can't believe all this has been done on what is no more than heresay evidence.
I documented Terris rehab potential well, writing whole pages about Terris responsiveness, but they would always be deleted by the next time I saw her chart. The reason I wrote so much was that everybody else seemed to be afraid to make positive entries for fear of their jobs, but I felt very strongly that a nurses job was to accurately record everything we see and hear that bears on a patients condition and their family. I upheld the Nurses Practice Act, and if it cost me my job, I was willing to accept that.
9.Throughout my time at Palm Gardens, Michael Schiavo was focused on Terris death. Michael would say When is she going to die?, Has she died yet? and When is that bitch gonna die? These statements were common knowledge at Palm Gardens, as he would make them casually in passing, without regard even for who he was talking to, as long as it was a staff member. Other statements which I recall him making include Cant you do anything to accelerate her death - wont she ever die? When she wouldnt die, Michael would be furious. Michael was also adamant that the family should not be given information. He made numerous statements such as Make sure the parents arent contacted. I recorded Michaels statements word for word in Terris chart, but these entries were also deleted after the end of my shift. Standing orders were that the family wasnt to be contacted, in fact, there was a large sign in the front of her chart that said under no circumstances was her family to be called, call Michael immediately, but I would call them, anyway, because I thought they should know about their daughter.
10.Any time Terri would be sick, like with a UTI or fluid buildup in her lungs, colds, pneumonia, Michael would be visibly excited, thrilled even, hoping that she would die. He would call me, as I was the nurse supervisor on the floor, and ask for every little detail about her temperature, blood pressure, etc., and would call back frequently asking if she was dead yet. He would blurt out Im going to be rich!, and would talk about all the things he would buy when Terri died, which included a new car, a new boat, and going to Europe, among other things.
11.When Michael visited Terri, he always came alone and always had the door closed and locked while he was with Terri. He would typically be there about twenty minutes or so. When he left Terri would would be trembling, crying hysterically, and would be very pale and have cold sweats. It looked to me like Terri was having a hypoglycemic reaction, so Id check her blood sugar. The glucometer reading would be so low it was below the range where it would register an actual number reading. I would put dextrose in Terris mouth to counteract it. This happened about five times on my shift as I recall. Normally Terris blood sugar levels were very stable due to the uniformity of her diet through tube feeding. It is my belief that Michael injected Terri with Regular insulin, which is very fast acting.
12.The longer I was employed at Palm Gardens the more concerned I became about patient care, both relating to Terri Schiavo, for the reasons Ive said, and other patients, too. There was an LPN named Carolyn Adams, known as Andy Adams who was a particular concern. An unusual number of patients seemed to die on her shift, but she was completely unconcerned, making statements such as They are old - let them die. I couldnt believe her attitude or the fact that it didnt seem to attract any attention. She made many comments about Terri being a waste of money, that she should die. She said it was costing Michael a lot of money to keep her alive, and that he complained about it constantly (I heard him complain about it all the time, too.) Both Michael and Adams said that she would be worth more to him if she were dead. I ultimately called the police relative to this situation, and was terminated the next day. Other reasons were cited, but I was convinced it was because of my rocking the boat.
But just suppose they do agree, what then?
Isn't that the truth! Didn't he say he knew his wife would want to be helped in anyway possible? Didn't he agree to take care of her? Wasn't that the turning point in the malpractice case - his enduring devotion to her?
Think I'll go be sick now....
Praying for Terri and God's will to be done. JK
Looks like MS was shooting off his mouth while looking in the mirror again.
I wonder how well Terri could greet the President if the HINO hadn't blown half a million of Terri's healthcare trust on lawyers who were fighting to KILL HER.
