You have called it exactly.

Those that think it is dignified to be starved to death only have academic knowledge rather than real life experience.

I believe it is LONG past time for the legistative and executive branches to reach out and give the judicial branch a kick in the slats. It is their duty to rein in any branch that attempts to run the country.

What I criticized was those here who think that only those who agree with them should post.

I don't "believe she should die." I do believe that it isn't up to a bunch of like-minded rabble rousers whether she should live or die.

amen!

This man and wife on Hannity is an amazing story. The husband was speaking for the wife who was paralyzed by a double brainstem stroke. The husband was the only one who could or would speak for her. He was called a religious nut by the doctors. And the lady here is speaking on the phone now.

That's exactly what I would like to know -- cannot believe a State Judge tells Congress and their subpoenas to basically stuff it in plain language. Judiciary is out of control IMO and needs to be reigned in and reigned in fast.

Just read a statement that Greer is from the religious right -- now I have heard it all. I don't care if he is from the right, left, center or somewhere else, he has no right to question a reason for a Congressional subpoena like he is somehow over Congress and chooses to ignore Congress.

I hope that you can see the distinction.

I do. Without checks and balances and good people in gonverment we could be facing 1000s of Terri's in the future, their dying rooms surrounded by Federal troops.

At least now the only impediment to Terri's survival is Greer.

"From what I understand" - the key phrase in your post."

I'm able to understand English. I have gone to all the supporting sources that people post and have read them. Many of these sources, such as the account written by a nurse taking care of Terri that describes Michael's actions towards his wife, are primary sources.

If I'm wrong, I will admit it, but I prefer to err on the side of life.

And by the way "from what I understand," there are plenty of medical professionals who have stated that Terri should be given treatment.

My two NDE's were very brief. But being aware that other's think you are dead is the most horrible thing you can experience. I appreciate your story but don't wish to share mine today.

Sometimes things get to the point that the rabble is all that there is. I'm glad to be part of this rabble.

Well folk, this is the line in the sand. Which side are you on? Mr. Shivo took years to reveal Terri's "will" do die. I do not know what her will is or was, but I do know that Mr. Shivo does not either. The lawyer spokesman spoke for all democrats and their view on life and death and abortion. Now is the time for all congressman to choose which side of the line they are on.

And how about the wisdom from the Florida Supreme Court and the District Court Judge Greer. Now we will use the euphemism of caring and love to describe premeditated murder. The only difference between you and that judge is he sits at the head of a district court. He has no more wisdom than you or me. Now the democrats can devine and read minds. So it is expensive....lets kill her. That will solve most of the problems which we can see. That is who took your country away from you and me and Terri Shivo.

Euphemism-starvation = compassion. We need to indoctrinate that notion in our minds and in our kids minds to live in this society.

Jefferson said it. A little________nourishes the liberty tree every now and then. It is a good thing. This is finally where it has gotten us. This designer death has to be observed, while the abortionist gets to do its will in the darkness. America at its finest.

Felos claims that Congress has no power over the local court and over him. He's an arrogant b***tard.

That is the Way of the Liberal Sons of Darkness; they Despise Authority, because the Ultimate Authority is the Great King of Heaven, and they Despise Him!

Prayers Continuing for our sister!

Congress does have considerable authority over Federal judges, their jurisdiction, and even the existence of their court. Mark Levin suggested disbanding the 9th Circuit. I really don't know personally what authority they have over state judges. But clearly, starving a called witness is not what I would consider a bright thing to do, no matter what shape that witness is in. If you starved a witness to the Supreme Court, I promise you, that judge would be dead meat. Weird, huh?

Just recieved this message via e-mail

Thank you for writing me regarding the tragic case of Terri Schiavo.  People on all sides of this issue know that Terri has been severely impaired since 1990, and that she unfortunately left no written directive detailing her wishes regarding actions taken by her doctors to keep her alive.  Her condition has been the focus of an emotional and lengthy legal battle.  On more than one occasion, the courts have ordered that she starve to death.

Many Floridians, like the Schiavo and Schindler families, disagree about what should be done.  However, I believe that we should err on the side of life.  I am therefore committed to use all lawful means to keep Terri Schiavo alive and to work with the Florida Legislature on appropriate legislation to expand those lawful means as necessary.  I also applaud the efforts of Florida Congressman Dave Weldon and Senator Mel Martinez for sponsoring legislation to address these issues at the federal level.

Please know that I respect the opinions of those who disagree with the actions I have taken.  This is a heart-wrenching case, and I have not taken any action without thought, reflection and an appreciation for other points of view.

Sincerely,

Jeb Bush
