Onyx's husband fell thru a glass door and severed an artery in his arm this morning. He almost bled to death while waiting for 911 to come, but they made it.
They've been at the hospital since noon, with him in and out of surgery. They are back in surgery now, with 3 surgeons trying to repair a lot of torn and severed veins and archeries. He's lost a lot of blood, they've given him 6 pints so far.
It's very complicated, but those are the basics.
Both her sons should be there. One has been there for a while now, the other has to travel down from San Jose. She has a daughter that lives on the Caymans.
Anyway, by now, I assume that everyone in her family knows what has happened.
Dear Lord,
Please watch over Onyx's husband as he
goes through surgery.
Please guide the doctors, nurses and caregivers.
Please comfort Onyx.
I ask of this in your precious name Jesus.
Amen.
You are correct. Her daughter had been living with them since the hurricane wiped out the house on the island and the business which her daughter runs. Ironically, her daughter had left to return to the Caymans about a week ago.
This family has gone though some challenging times in the last year. However, they have all helped each other and were able to survive.
Most important of all: They learned some spiritual lessons, and that will last them for all of eternity.
Prayers for you and your husband, Onyx. I have always enjoyed your posts and I feel like I know you. Take care and keep us posted.
Amen to that. I firmly believe these moments in life make a person all the more stronger
One last update before I sleep...
He's all finished up, and in ICU.
Blood pressure is OK (85/n, and he's talking. Telling her to go take care of the pets and go to bed - she wont, lol... But he sounds OK, and she does too now - if she'll just get some sleep. (hint hint, you. lol)
Tomorrow will be a rough day, as will this week, trying to get packed.
But, the prayers and affection from y'all have really given her a wonderful lift in spirits.
Isn't it awesome how that works?
'Nite. ; )
If he's barking out orders from ICU, he must be doing great! LOL! Even I told her to get some sleep once he got out of surgery, she told me I was sweet for saying that, but she wanted to go home, freshen up, and go back to the hospital. LOL!!
Why, after not talking to Onyx for months, did I think about and send her an email tonight? This was hours before I knew anything about the accident.
Perhaps that little story about the puffer fish being thrown out of the aquarium, will have some special meaning to my friend.
After 50 years, I no longer ask why.....
I had MSN messenger open, and her status was "Out To Lunch" all afternoon and evening, then it finally went to "Online", and I joked that she must've been stuffed after spending all day at some Sunday "all you can eat" buffet. She told me what happend, and I later found out from talking to her on the phone she laughed when I told her what I told her on MSN, but a person can't tell just from text.
DUCKING!
I also told her to when she told me that she was nervous to "smoke'm if ya got 'em, and I won't think any less of you dear!" and she said both her and her husband quit today! LOL!
Amen,.......Infinite Grace and Mercy,......In Jesus' Precious Name, Amen!!!
Prayer ping...
Love and Prayers for Hubby and You. Be Strong. I know you will.
Anti-smoking is bad for your health!
Prayers for your husband and for you...what a nightmare!
Wow. This has been a really bad month for some freepers. Prayers for his recovery.
I just saw this when I got up this morning. Thanks to the Lord for his help in this terrible accident, and I will pray for your husband's swift recovery.
