I started lurking here shortly after Freerepublic started, mainly because Freepublic.com was a great source for news the mainstream media would not cover.
I remember reading about how the Park Police could not find Vince Foster’s keys at the location where his body was found. When the former bouncer and White House errand boy Craig Livingstone went to identify the body at the morgue, he reached in the dead Mr. Foster’s pants pockets and retrieved a large set of keys that was missed by all the professionals. That, among other information left me with doubts about the conclusion Vince Foster committed suicide.
I saw a photo posted on FR of Ron Brown’s head. It looked like a bullet hole to me.
The same April 1996, Ron Brown died; William Colby fell out of his canoe and died.
The mainstream media reported William Colby called his wife shortly before he disappeared and told her he was going for a canoe ride. I found out on FR that his friend and business associate, James Davidson, stated Mr. Colby did not tell his wife he was going for a canoe ride. Why would someone make that up?
About two weeks later, Admiral Boorda shot himself in his chest, through his ribbons. The mainstream media said it was because he was wearing medals he did not earn. I found out on FR, the claim was bogus. Admiral Boorda participated in combat operations in Southeast Asia and was awarded two “V” devices for medals he received related to combat operations.
I learned on FR about Kathy Ferguson. She was married to Bill Clinton’s co-defendant in the Paula Jones civil suit at the time of the reported harassment. Later, Kathy divorced Danny and Kathy was dating Bill Shelton at the time of her death. Days after the suit was filed, Kathy shot herself in the head. Six weeks later, police officer Bill Shelton was found on top of her grave. He died of a gunshot to the head.
Barbara Wise worked in the office in the Commerce Department where the technology transfers to China were being considered. Friday after Thanksgiving in 1996 her naked badly bruised body was found in her office at the Commerce Department. She died of natural causes. I read about the police report describing the condition of her body on Freerepublic.
Less than two weeks after Lewinsky had her reported showdown with the President, Mary Mahoney, a former Clinton White House intern was shot several times in a Starbucks where she worked two miles from the White House. Her two co-workers were also shot to death. No money was taken, no one heard any shots. Unless you read the Washington Times or FR, it is unlikely you have ever heard of Mary Mahoney. The Lewinsky acquaintance and former intern was never mentioned in the national mainstream press.
According to Juanita Broaddrick, Bill Clinton raped her. I believed her.
I voted for our current President hoping for a legitimate investigation into the technology transfers to China and many of the other activities associated with Bill Clinton.
Later, it was explained to me it these potential high crimes would not be investigated because of political reasons.
I thought I understood the reason President Bush would not prosecute Bill Clinton for his many crimes.What I don’t understand is why President Bush now embraces a man I once thought was a rapist, complicit in murder, and a man that sold weapons technology to communist China for campaign contributions.
Were we wrong about Bill Clinton?

I don't think the Clintons limit themselves to whatever number of FBI files they pilfered. They seem to be willing to use threats, murder, anything. I still wonder how they got to Susan McDougall, and why. The MSM paraded her out in that orange jumpsuit so many times, it's a permanent image in my head. And look what they did to Rep. Livingston who was House Speaker right after Newt resigned. With a little help from Larry Flint, they made an example out of him right before the Senate was to act on impeachment. It boggles the mind to recall all of this, and so much more we'll never hear about. And to think a recent poll shows 49% want Hillary to run for President in '08. I just hope Rudy, or somebody, knocks here out in '06.

I don't recall if it was part of the original package, which contained the medal and ribbon. In any event the ribbon and combat V device can be purchased at the uniform shop. The main thing is that the written commendation contained the specific language authorizing the wearing of a combat "V" distinguishing device.
Ford is another one that seems completely ignored by all presidents after him. Is the rehab of the presidency the only reason 41 and 43 keep Clinton hanging around?
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Navy has quietly accepted that Adm. Jeremy "Mike" Boorda was entitled to wear combat decorations on his uniform -- the challenged Vietnam War awards that led to his suicide two years ago.
Navy Secretary John Dalton put into Boorda's file a letter from Elmo Zumwalt Jr., the chief of naval operations during the war, which says it was "appropriate, justified and proper" for Boorda to attach the small bronze combat V's to the ribbons on his uniform. The Navy also modified Boorda's record to list the V's among his other decorations -- recognition that they were earned.
The "V" stands for valor and signifies service in combat. Boorda served on a destroyer, the USS Craig, in 1965 and as executive officer on another destroyer, the USS Brooke, in 1973, both in combat situations.
In 1965, Boorda did not qualify for the Combat V, the Washingtonian said. But in 1967 the Navy retroactively upgraded all Navy Commendation for Achievement ribbons awarded between 1961 and 1967, making Boorda eligible for the award.
"Admiral Mike Boorda's citations for awards of the Navy Achievement Medal and Navy Commendation Medal plainly state they were awarded for service including `combat operations' and `while operating in combat missions,"' Dalton's memo said.

Boorda's citations were awarded for service including combat operations in the waters off the coast of Vietnam. That was the reason I asked. As a receipient of the "V" device during the time frame in question you are a great resource and I appreciate the information. If you could provide the exact quote from the citation that authorized the V device it would help me a great deal.

I will dig out my written commendation and give you the exact wording. I do recall however that it was the last sentence/paragraph of the write-up stating that a Combat "V" distinguishing device was authorized.

Carter went off on his own...kind of like a black sheep of the ex-presidents club. No one can force him to play the game. Ford was ignored due to the hostility between him and Reagan after the '76 primaries. By the time the Bushs came to power, Ford was simply too old to do much.
