Are you as fed up as I am over the bad decisions being handed down by the SCOTUS and throughout the judiciary? Are you tired of judicial activism? Are you tired of being ruled by the men in black robes? Is it time to remind the SCOTUS that We The People ARE the final arbiters of law and justice in this land?
Are you fed up with the weak-kneed Republican Senate? Are you ready to drop the nuclear option on the obstructionist Democrats? Are you fed up with Specter and the RINOs?
Is it time for us to rise up and march on Washington again? How many of you are willing to join me in another march to D.C. to straighten out these yahoos and remind them of who's in charge in this republic?
If they can do it in Lebanon, we can do it here!!
Great idea, Jim! I am so sick of these judges legislating from the bench. This issue is right up there under national security for me (closely followed by immigration). If the date is during the last week in June, I can be there! Hubby has an army reunion going on in VA, and I'll steal away and participate. Woo hoo, it would be my first Freep!
Please keep me on any list that involves the potential fer FReepin' the SCOTUS and/or the Senate...MUD
Of course few would condone capital punishment on a 5-year-old.
How about a 17-year-old who announces murderous intent, breaks into a house, ties up the occupant, takes her to a bridge, and throws her off? This is exactly the case SCOTUS was asked to rule on - not a kindergardener.
The problem is the need for a line in capital cases - and the problem that the line as currently drawn, and upheld by SCOTUS under the premise of vague international opinion, is past an age where the "child" can vote, drive, and certainly knows the consequences of murderous behavior.
Reason being that they have become agents of foreign 'isms'!
Please do keep me on this list! Thanks!
And YES, to answer the question: I would definitely love to be a part of a march on Washington!
Apples an oranges. Dan was addressing the march. I was addressing the decision.
Might I suggest a two pronged strategy..
Half of us march on Washington, the other half holds hands at the southwestern border and we do not allow a single person through. We of course get permission from the land owners as we should field about 4 million people for a three day weekend. Does anyone have a brother in law in the porta pottie business? Road trips!!!!
I wrote my conservative senator yesterday and gave him a clear indication that this is the line, the time is now, no more excuses and that we expect to see some leadership from the Republicans with regard to the judicial nominees and the courts in general. I have a feeling it is in their best interest to take note of the electorate at this point.
May I suggest that this is about the Supreme Court not about immigration ? If you want to do this, why not start your own thread instead of spamming this one.
Maybe the time is 2007, after we eliminate another 5 democrat senators in Nov. of 06 and maybe the lack of 60 votes is an excuse.
Then they will say only 66 votes is a mandate. That's take up arms day. I wonder if we will be forced to go door to door to weed out the blues? I pray it never comes to that. Thank God Im not in charge is all I have to say.
Count me in. I'll pass the word as far as I can. We need dates set and get Hannity and Rush on board! You get those 2 behind you, and the rest will fall in line!!
Don't you just love how SCOTUS in last decision cited FOREIGN LAW? /s
How can this be constitutional? Can this be banned by congress?
How about doing what is right NOW. If they cannot stand up at this point, I just may not want to vote for them in '06.
bump
Spoken like a true Southerner!
I spent 3 winters in Wichita Kansas. I hate real cold!
Not sure what I can do to help out here in the hinterlands, but I stand ready!
