"Sovereignty. The issue is huge. The mere mention of Kofi Annan in the U.N. caused the crowd to go into a veritable fit. The coalition wants America strong and wants the American flag flying overseas, not the pale blue of the U.N."
So George W. Bush confided to friend Doug Wead before he declared his candidacy. And, twice, President Bush has acted to defend U.S. sovereignty gainst the encroachments of global government.
He rejected both the International Criminal Court, which would have ceded power to prosecute U.S. soldiers, and a Kyoto Treaty that would have subjected our economy to the dictates of a global EPA.
Which makes astonishing Bush's apparent support for a Law Of the Sea Treaty that Ronald Reagan rejected as a great leap forward into global socialism. By 19 to 0, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has approved LOST. Unless 34 senators can be rallied to reject this historic power grab, it will go into effect.

So are you in favor of this?
Who could have a problem with that? Well tremble in fear from PJB no longer! There's a magical answer for you! It's called GOOGLE! Google gave me these in about 15 seconds of switching and typing.

Ain't the Internet wonderful! And if these don't satisfy you there 410,000 more links out there on this topic for you to peruse.
See this is why characters like you drive me up the wall. You obviously had no interest in joining the debate other than to impugn Mr. Buchanan's integrity ... either that or you're too ignorant/lazy to verify the gist of the essay.
I would be curious to know just what it is about Pat (don't bother with the ad hominem) that drives your hate.
Why are you excerpting World Net Daily?
George Allen??!!!
I no longer have faith in any U.S. Senator as a "conservative". The only loyalty in the Senate is to their own stupid club (think Santorum bending over for Ol' Scottish Law) and the special interests that feed them.
Sure wish Ollie would've won in 94. Nobody in the entire Senate wanted that guy elected (including Republicans); there's a reason for that. Wish he would run again (I think he has a more positive image now with "War Stories").
Old-time conservatism (read: Conservatives who actually vote that way and not just say what we want to hear during their re-election campaigns) is DEAD.
No, you paraphrased Stalin...
Then they can be lord over satan....because they sure are more evil than satan.
Then the Republicans are Faust and they're selling our soul.
70%? Yeah, with that UN navy and the huge UN army...it causes me to quake in my boots.
The UN is a toothless ultra-expensive bureaucracy--with some HUGE failures in its past.... 1 to 2 MILLION literally butchered in 2 months (beating the death rate of even the Nazis) in Rwanda (under UN and Clintonista's watch) leads the list.
Such a move would be stupid, but not really scary.
He who has the gold (and the guns and the will) wins. The UN, but for us, has none of the above.
That's it: Shoot the messenger. Very intelligent rebuttal on your part.
I don't care if Ward Churchill wrote this, it's still the Truth and the Truth must take precedence over politics and personalities. Quit hiding behind your rainbow veneer with your head stuck in the sand.
As for me, I am beginning to regret casting my vote for this president. I foolishly believed that abortion trumped every moral issue. What I failed to see is that Rove and Co. were very skilled at raising moral issues like abortion and gay marriage to keep conservatives on the plantation while they sold us down the river to the multinationals and world bankers. I will never vote for another "Bush conservative" again. Sovereignty trumps every other issue. If the Republicans can't do better next time around I will vote Constitution Party merely on principle.
If they acquire the tax base they need, then they might get started on that army and navy. You're missing the point: Why would we voluntarily turn over control of 70% of the world's resources to a globalist, socialist bureacuracy and why does that not concern you?
Please contact them ANYWAY...they've got to know what you think!
Shore 'pears to be.
