Should the U.N. be lord of the oceans?
WorldNetDaily ^ | 2/28/2005 | Patrick J. Buchanan

"Sovereignty. The issue is huge. The mere mention of Kofi Annan in the U.N. caused the crowd to go into a veritable fit. The coalition wants America strong and wants the American flag flying overseas, not the pale blue of the U.N."

So George W. Bush confided to friend Doug Wead before he declared his candidacy. And, twice, President Bush has acted to defend U.S. sovereignty gainst the encroachments of global government.

He rejected both the International Criminal Court, which would have ceded power to prosecute U.S. soldiers, and a Kyoto Treaty that would have subjected our economy to the dictates of a global EPA.

Which makes astonishing Bush's apparent support for a Law Of the Sea Treaty that Ronald Reagan rejected as a great leap forward into global socialism. By 19 to 0, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has approved LOST. Unless 34 senators can be rallied to reject this historic power grab, it will go into effect.

Dear God in Heaven, giving the UN control of the oceans is INSANE. They would then rule 70% of the freakin planet.

Absolutely not!

(Send the UN away from NY to Rwanda or some other hot spot where the UNocrats may make themselves useful!)

OK, who do I contact regarding this garbage? My senators are Hillary and Chuckie, so I'm not going to waste my time with those two globalists. I'd like to bend the ear of someone that could have a direct effect on preventing this bill from being passed.

Sure, right after they build the navy fit to defend that position.

Until that time they can suck my farts.

The UN should be lord of their own poo, and that's about it.

Dear God, what is happening to my world? I think I might begin burying some bullets and socking away some canned beans, cause things just don't look so good.

How about Frist? He could keep it from coming to a vote, no? If he had any aspirations about a run for president this is a major setback IMO.

"In her confirmation hearings, Condi Rice was asked by Lugar if the administration supported LOST. The president "certainly would like to see it passed as soon as possible," said Rice. If George W. Bush authorized that statement, writes Phyllis Schlafly, he "can no longer claim the mantle of Ronald Reagan's conservative legacy."

Whats the matter with Bush? The US needs to get out of the UN not give it more power. Why would he support this?

I doubt the senate foreign felations committee contains only RINO's and liberals. So that means conservatives on their went along with it.

"The UN should be lord of their own poo, and that's about it."

Exactly, they can float around in it in a little boat, pretending they are lords of the sea.

Bones

I'm waiting for the Pat Bashers. H-E-L-L-O! Again & Again I keep repeating this mantra here & maybe, just maybe some of you will see that this corrupted "Two-Party Cartel" never has our interest in mind. Yea, they throw a bone every so often, however when the BIG issues hit the elites/globalists ALWAYS win the challenge. You can call it in braille ,as Chick Hern used to say. This is our sovereignity - a vote for this exactly states that these internationalist are more important than the people that elected them. Since they all support open borders & now this vote, it should tell you how rediculous your votes mean in the big picture. Throw them all out next election.

Maybe Bush needs some time off. How about seeing a movie with Ted Kennedy?

What is this man thinking?

Dear God, what is happening to my world?

What's happening is that the New World Order is taking control behind the scenes, one little slice at a time.

I realize Bush is a fiscal socialist but I thought we could count on him to reject UN BS. It's so disappointing.
