By 19 to 0, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has approved LOST. Unless 34 senators can be rallied to reject this historic power grab, it will go into effect. Dear God in Heaven, giving the UN control of the oceans is INSANE. They would then rule 70% of the freakin planet.

Should the U.N. be lord of the oceans?
Absolutely not!
(Send the UN away from NY to Rwanda or some other hot spot where the UNocrats may make themselves useful!)

OK, who do I contact regarding this garbage? My senators are Hillary and Chuckie, so I'm not going to waste my time with those two globalists. I'd like to bend the ear of someone that could have a direct effect on preventing this bill from being passed.

Should the U.N. be lord of the oceans?Sure, right after they build the navy fit to defend that position.
Until that time they can suck my farts.

The UN should be lord of their own poo, and that's about it.
Dear God, what is happening to my world? I think I might begin burying some bullets and socking away some canned beans, cause things just don't look so good.

No. I can hardly believe the idiocy of the Congress passing such a thing as the LOST. I know work was being done on the LOST as early as the 70s under that moron Carter.

Great Googly Moogly: we
CANNOT allow our Senators to vote this treaty in. Anyone who wants to know what I found out can go to my
former posting on this and see step by step what the actual
UN website says about what's expected of signatories to this
POS treaty. Just for starters, think the Oil For Food Program only completely in charge of the world's OCEANS (in every manner you can conceive).
Now add the UN telling us what we can do (mineral rights, drilling, extractions - after we request permission and then pay a fee to them for a permit for our private companies to do anything) and then on top of it, do only as much and where the UN tells us to, and then in the end, pay the UN a portion of any profits to be redistributed to "other nations"...
Add to that rules the US Navy and military has to follow on how we use the oceans.
Don't forget the UN "Seabed Authority" gets to force 'advanced nations' to share their technology with other nations that don't have their own technology....
PLEASE send your STRONG opposition to your Senators here at the Liberty Committee site where you can read what scholars have said about it. You can also find your senator's offices at senate.gov.
PLEASE DON'T let them get away with this. Reagan threw the treaty in the wastebasket, where it belongs.
The Foreign Relations Committee has said that there have been changes made that make it "OKAY". If you believe that.....

19-0 for LOST. And a majority of the 19 are very stupid Republicans.

This is huge and serious (since there's no real humor about what the Foreign Relations Committee has done).
PING!

We are in trouble.
The 11 Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations committee included not only liberals and internationalists like Lugar Chafee and Voinovich, but conservatives like George Allen and John Sununu Jr.
