Just watching CNN. They Pro-Syrian government has just resigned. Huge celebrations in Beirut.

Sure it was. That's the whole point--you go over the top into a new place, breaking the rules of convention in a situation that DESERVES going over the top. Some people see going over the top as a bad thing, but they're using the term in its narrowest possible way. I'm a great admirer of those who know when to go over the top when the occassion demands it.
I know a lot about movies. I've worked in the very very very independent end a bit, know a couple of people who work in Hollywood, and have had my writing on film published now and then. If you need any help on them just ask.

Used to work with a guy from Lebanon. he commonly said that the only way to fix Lebanon was to nuke it and start over. He didn't hate Lebanon, he just thought it had been completely messed up.My father has always joked that we just need to build a wall around the whole area, leave it in place for 50 years, and deal with whomever is left alive after that.
