It is a very strange situation but just to be on the safe side it can't hurt to buy American if you can find anything made in America anymore. Maybe someone on FR will compile a list of American companies to make things easier. I would definitely use it.
Well, during the 60's the vast majority of the masses were wearing Mao "Blues and Greys", as for the shoes....lol..I still see people wearing tradition slippers over here everyday.
The saddest thing I've see was a man walking down the street in trashed flip-flops with trashbags wrapped around him in 36F temperatures because he simply didn't have anything else.

How about it boys...got one of those in your collection of links?
No Doubt..but, that what Stalinist Do.
I would say Chinese took these photos for their internal records. However, they did not want executioners to be identified. Two guards wore sunglasses to do that, but the one in the center apparently did not. So they blacked out his face. I suspect that some underground organization managed to smuggle photos out. There are some secret organizations inside China. For example, Falun Gongs who were forced underground. Some of them could bribe police. I am not saying that this is how it happened. I am just saying that smuggling out such photos is possible.
I tend to go nuts when reading Wal-Mart threads. So much of what I buy is from Taiwan or China because there is no other place to obtain the stuff. My house is filled with American made 'Amish' furniture, though. It will outlive me and I hope the grandkids appreciate what 'craftsmanship' means. Yes, it costs more, but only because it is worth it.
I thought the shoes looked like modern running shoes like Niki or Rebok something. Hope I don't get in trouble for using brand names. LOL
And the Chinese government actually released these photos? It says a lot about them. What kind of publication is Kyunghyang Daily?
That's a logical and reasonable answer to how we got it. I know these things some time happen. The person or persons doing the smuggling would be shot as well.
The other part of my question, the amount of damage, still puzzles me.
I know that one 7.62x39 cannot do the damage we see. I am very skeptical about this.
Actually I think the Amish made products are very reasonably priced and wonderful quality. Here we have Menonites who make furniture and such. We bought a storage building from them. Very well made and reasonably priced. My next door neighbor bought a gazebo from them. They are really great people.
A site attached to a newspaper.
These girls are heroines in my book. Prayers for their souls.
One day the chicoms will get theirs, and I hope that day comes soon.
I am afraid if the liberals ever get in power, this is what will happen to Christains in America. And since the leftist loonies think all Bush supporters are Christains it will be all Bush supporters. I think they will label us terrorists in order to convince the public we deserve death.
It is a smaller newspaper in S. Korea. photos were not a part of a regular article. It was on an affiliated site. As for pictures, I think that pictures were smuggled out, not released by Chinese authorities.
In communist countries, dissidents are often labeled "common criminals" or "mental patients" by the communist regime officials.
The Chi-coms have a credibility problem, especially when they use capital punishment on girls.
Brings home the point that, regardless of the economic strides China has made, it is still run by a ruthless dictatorship. May the victims rest in peace.
I second that. The furniture and quilts that I have purchased over the years will last for a century. Find something like that anywhere else.
These picture are old. They have been posted here in the past and the girls were identified as criminals, not dissidents. Check your source.
My 7.62x39 doesn't cause that amount of damage. So, is that rifle in use just to place the victims at the wall and another firearm for the execution?
