You are so right Tonk, about that. Graphics won't load looking at posts to themselves. However...once you get into a thread, graphics/pics take a ton of time for some, like me, who can ONLY get a dial-up connection.
That's what was nice getting an early ping to the thread today. I usually see it after way too many posts and pics. and don't visit. So, thanks!

I was at Udvar~Hazy last weekend. There's what looks like a B-24 behind and off the Bombadier's right shoulder. No Liberator was on display. No F-105 "Thud" on display, either. You can't have a Cold War Section without the "Thud"!
Great B-17 painting, Bombadier.
The B-17 would always get you home. Even though it was smaller, had less range, armament and bomb load than the B-24. The "Fort" was much more survivable.
