What are we gonna do today? Anything but PANCAKES! NO PANCAKES! NO PANCAKES! NO PANCAKES!
...What do we do today?....kiddie land?...NO!...amusement parks?..YEAH!...... Welcome to Camp RUN-A-MUK!
Anybody want to buy a FINE pre-owned Burka? Today's Feature: AMUSEMENT PARKS!
The BAR is OPEN! We've got Eye candy...Mind candy...and Chicken soup for the soul! A few of my favorite Amusement Parks! Old Chicago
Old Chicago was the world's first completely enclosed amusement park and shopping center, open 365 days a year. It consisted of a large square building with a dome in the center. The rides and attractions (the "Old Chicago Fairgrounds") were in the center, under the dome, and the shopping area surrounded them. It opened in 1975, and part of the grand opening celebration included a tap dancer dancing on the very top of the dome.
Riverview Park
The 74 acres bordered by Western and Belmont avenues, the Chicago River, and Lane Tech High School were known affectionately as "Riverview" to at least three generations of Chicagoans from as early as 1904 to as recent as 1967. Riverview Amusement Park was (sometimes disputably) billed as "The World’s Largest Amusement Park" throughout its 64-year popularity. For some people a trip to Riverview was a rite of passage; for others, it was a familiar weekend excursion, but for most people who went there, a trip to Riverview was a significant memory not soon forgotten. The story of Riverview Amusement Park is one remembered by many.

KiddieLand
KIDDIELAND is in its 77th season as a family owned and operated amusement park. It has over 30 rides and attractions and is Chicagoland's oldest family amusement park. "We are about Family, because we are Family". The Park has the reputation of being one of the finest traditional parks in the country. It is with great pride that at the start of itsseventy-seventh year in 2005, KIDDIELAND continues to provide affordable memorable family fun, in a clean, safe, happy environment.
At Kiddieland, Dad let you have that extra ice cream cone and it was suddenly okay to go running and squealing as loud as you could, chasing your sibling around the picnic table. You smiled and waved at Mom from the top of the Ferris wheel and then you fell asleep in the car on the drive home. Dad carried you into the house, tucked you into bed and you remember that day and couldn't wait to go back again...
Let's have some FUN!

I read about a man in New York City who died at the age of 63 without ever having had a job. He spent his entire adult life in college. He had acquired so many academic degrees that they looked like the alphabet behind his name.
Why did this man spend his entire life in college? When he was a child, a wealthy relative died who had named him as a beneficiary in his will. It stated that he was to be given enough money to support him every year as long as he stayed in school. And it was to be discontinued when he had completed his education.
The man met the terms of the will, but by staying in school indefinitely he turned a technicality into a steady income for lifesomething his benefactor never intended. Unfortunately, he spent thousands of hours listening to professors and reading books but never "doing." He acquired more and more knowledge but didn't put it into practice.
This reminds me of what James said: "Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only" (1:22). If we read the Bible or listen as it is taught but fail to put to work what we have learned, we are as bad as that man with his string of degrees. His education was of no practical benefit to anyone.
Hearing must be matched by doing. Richard De Haan
Open your Bible prayerfully, read it carefully, obey it joyfully.

Today's FEEBLE

YOKE :
Ms Feather was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a woman police officer, who was also a blonde.
The cop asked to see Ms Feather's driver's license. She dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated. "What does it look like?" she finally asked.
The policewoman replied, "It's square and it has your picture on it."
Ms Feather finally found a square mirror, looked at it and handed it to the policewoman.
"Here it is," Ms Feather said.
The blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying, "Okay, you can go. I didn't realize you were a cop.
