THE NEW YORK OBSERVER will report tomorrow: 'Former 60 Minutes Wednesday executive editor Josh Howard has told colleagues that before he resigns, the 23-year CBS News veteran will demand that the network retract remarks by CBS president Leslie Moonves, correct its official story line and ultimately clear his name'...
In the event of a lawsuit, Mr. Howard has told associates that he would like to see Moonves put under oath to talk about his own roles in the network's stubborn, hapless defense of the flawed segment on President Bush's National Guard service.
Howard has also indicated to colleagues that he would subpoena specific CBS documents, including the e-mails of top executives.

I want to see all the dirty laundry aired... It sounds like Josh Howard was made into the scapegoat, and was probably innocent by most people's standards.
Please pass the popcorn.

Yeah, I suppose Howard can press charges if he wishes.

"I so hope this turns into a bloodbath."
my thoughts exactly........I hope they all go down in the biggest exposed meltdown in media history.......I always thought that these three were not nearly as guilty as Rather and especially the News President, Andrew Hayward who is the guiltiest of all

Woohoo! Ring side seats! This is going to rock.

I think we all know these people are the proverbial sacrificial lambs at CBS and I don't blame them for not going down without a fight.
They get the unceremonious sack and Danny Boy gets to leave gracefully no doubt with the very nice Golden Parachute or is it Shower, take your pick.
Mary Mapes has no doubt moved on and will find a good job with Howard Dean at the DNC in charge of propaganda.

Spot on about Hayward...I found it pretty odd he got off without a scratch.
I feel a little bad about glorying in someone else's misfortune during the Lenten season but I guess I can work through that...

Remember when Drudge used to actually break news, instead of merely posting ads for the news some other publication is going to break in a few hours?
