THE NEW YORK OBSERVER will report tomorrow: 'Former 60 Minutes Wednesday executive editor Josh Howard has told colleagues that before he resigns, the 23-year CBS News veteran will demand that the network retract remarks by CBS president Leslie Moonves, correct its official story line and ultimately clear his name'...
In the event of a lawsuit, Mr. Howard has told associates that he would like to see Moonves put under oath to talk about his own roles in the network's stubborn, hapless defense of the flawed segment on President Bush's National Guard service.
Howard has also indicated to colleagues that he would subpoena specific CBS documents, including the e-mails of top executives.

It's amazing how many people who helped them were forgotten, disavowed, jilted, ostracized, or otherwise harmed (and perhaps worse). The socialist media types threw in once it became apparent that the Clinton's might prevail. For them (Hewitt, etc.) it's the agenda uber alles.
I'm sure that many of Clinton's "friends" (the ones who lived) fed well at the troth, but these folks are world-class destroyers, to be sure. The Democrats are off on the same track again, it's all about marketing and tactics. The winner gets the spoils.
Interesting quotes you provided. Carville always struck me as a lunatic that even rational people from the dark side would shun. Morris provides insight from time to time, but he's a snake too. The Leftist Hollywood producers helped Clinton greatly, and they will be force to contend with in the future.
What's CBS?

Thus, in an e-mail sent at 4:53 a.m. on September 10 to West, Howard proposed a media strategy that would acknowledge the possibility that 60 Minutes Wednesday had been the victim of a hoax:
I wonder if its time for us to take the offensive and say, look, we think were on solid ground, but were not just sitting on our hands. Were continuing to investigate, and if we were the victims of an elaborate hoax, no one would be more anxious to get to the bottom of it than CBS News.
A statement might say:
There have been allegations that the documents on which we reported were either forgeries or re-creations. Nothing we have learned over the past 48 hours leads us to believe that. We remain enormously confident in the thoroughness and accuracy of our reporting.
If indeed one or more of the documents is not authentic, it would mean that CBS News was the victim of an elaborate hoax. We have no evidence that that was the case. But we are continuing to aggressively investigate, and should we find that anyone - the Kerry campaign, the Bush campaign, or anyone else was responsible for circulating fraudulent documents and orchestrating a hoax, no one would be more anxious to break that story than CBS News.
The point would be to shift the conversation from CBS did something wrong, to something wrong was done to us and were mad as hell.
West rejected Howards suggestion via a return e-mail at 8:39 a.m.:
I think we need to defend ourselves specifically [and] not even concede that we think it could be a hoax.
Later on September 10, Howard would again express concerns to West, Mapes and Heyward about the Segment after speaking with Peter Tytell, an individual with extensive typewriter experience. At that time, Howards concerns again were not acted upon and thereafter Howard did not have a major role in the Aftermath, with West apparently taking the management lead and Mapes taking the production lead on follow-up stories that defended the Segment.

That's why it's not a good idea to be on the bad side of the Clintons.
Remember, Clinton is on record as saying, "it's okay to kill people who hurt you".
The hits just keep on comin'
The MSM Empire isn't going down without a fight. Awareness is on the rise, but the battles lie ahead.

Totally believable, please cite your source.
Precisely
"Ooooh..baby, this is great. Betcha he made a copy of them."
CBS was so-o-o slow to repond, that it probably gave lots of these folks time to harvest special tidbits.
the executives shall cooperate and the cover up will be as it should be.
Gentlemen, the fix is in.
Shredders are working overtime at CBS, but they can't erase every hard drive. They are so screwed it's quite enjoyable....
I'm with you on that, MOJO. Drudge is my homepage, too, and he is typically in on the groundfloor of most important breaking stuff.
Besides, the offbeat stuff he throws in is usually pretty entertaining, and it's obvious that many people read him, because of the number of those offbeat pieces that get mentioned by the likes of Rush, Hannity, Beck, Boortz, Katie & Matt, etc.

I use my wife's cheapo Mac. ---I don't even know what spyware is.
What strikes me in all this is that men are willing to risk their careers to twist words, pollute diction, spout half truths and aid and abet made up documents all in an effort to delude themselves that a paradise can be made without the intervention of God.
See what you started, LOL!

Yep. Right now we're seeing the usual deluge of propaganda in an attempt to confuse the public (in this case, the very people they're trying to discredit) to the point where they won't know WHAT to believe. More attempts will be made to discredit citizen journalists. The propaganda volume will be forcefully turned to "Deafening". Then will come the demands that we all "let byegones be byegones and concentrate on the present because we're all adults here". The confused public, which now knows not what to believe, will be expected to eagerly forget the incident never happened.
By then the next presidential election cycle will be upon us. The next Dem candidate will be for UN control of information exchange over the internet - for the children.
Then it's back to being spoonfed carefully controlled bits of propaganda all over again.
We have a long fight ahead.
