Love should never trump conscience. Murder is not excusable, even when it is art. And the renowned director of "Million Dollar Baby" is not conservative (contrary to the witless commentary in the Los Angeles Times), except in the sense that the National Socialists were branded as conservative. In truth, real Christian conservatives support life, not murder.

Perfect!

'Million Dollar Baby' Is a Neo-Nazi Movie

That's probably the most idiotic headline I've read in years.

The Los Angeles Times continues: "The group contends that the movie is part of a larger bias Eastwood holds against the disabled. A press release on its website carries the headline, ‘Eastwood Continues Disability Vendetta with "Million Dollar Baby."

Okay. I know the LA Times is lying-leftie trash second only to the NY Times (the Seattle Times is IMHO trying really hard for the crown but failing) in its fundamentally dishonest reporting... but... I don't watch many movies and I have no idea what this is about. Is this a Clint Eastwood movie, and what is it (purportedly) saying?

This euthanasia pro death cult gang is getting as intolerant and anti-choice as the pro-abortion gang and worse, just one big death squad they are. When all is said and done again, they really do not want it to be about choice, just death, for all, whether you want it or not.

In 1994, the Discovery Channel aired "Selling Murder," an important documentary investigating how Goebbels used mass media to influence the German people to accept the mass murder of human beings.

I watched that and remember thinking how much the MSM & culture leaders were parroting the Nazi line.

Well, all of the conservative wailing about "Million Dollar Baby" probably guarantees that it will win "Best Picture."

Rush and Medved deserve kudos for exposing this demented movie for what it is.

If Hollywierd wasn't ashamed of the content it wouldn't have saturated the airwaves with the deceptive ad campaign.

Dr. Kurt Asperger achieved two great things in his life. He identified and named the phenomenon of "autism." and, by getting the concept of the autistic disorder SPECTRUM into the scientific literature, he was able to save the lives of many of his patients when the nazis came for the disabled.

Actually, I just went to see the movie, and the ending made me cry. I don't see how the ending is anti-disabled or anything akin to what the article describes at all.

All this talk has made me really want to see this movie now, while prior to this weekend I had zero interest.

This article is whacky and gives us a bad name.

Medved has very specific issues with this movie but I doubt that he would consider it Nazi propaganda.

This is Michael Medved's capsule review:

-----

In “Million Dollar Baby” Hillary Swank plays an ambitious boxer who wants to recruit a new trainer.

That crusty expert is of course Clint Eastwood who also directed this critically acclaimed film that focuses on a cluster of hard luck characters, including Morgan Freeman getting one last shot at the big time.

And Warner Brothers never tells you the truth about a key plot twist that turns this pedestrian boxing movie into an insufferable manipulative right to die movie. With one of the characters horribly handicapped begging for assisted suicide. While the movie kills itself with lots of hooky narration. Rated PG-13 but totally unsuitable for kids. 1 1/2 Stars for the shamelessly overrated, misleadingly marketed “Million Dollar Baby.”

No doubt, Clint Eastwood would have a wry smile if he read this article, and this thread.

My question for Clint: Why the fascination with violence and women in many of your movies? Reminds me of the medievel artist that painted a completely different picture within his portraits of royalty. His message can be viewed only through an skewed mirror.

What a goof-ball article. Next thing they'll be saying Shakespeare was a leftist operative transported back in time to corrupt modern day English students.

Million Dollar Baby is a great movie. The key word being "movie".

Medved, who says he "hated this movie," also remarked, "They didn't want to tell people what it is [about] because no one would come."

I just saw the movie this weekend. This may be the first time I ever disagreed with Medved on a movie, but I didn't see it the same way. Since I have heard all about the movie, almost to knowing the script from start to finsh from interned posts, I already knew how it would come out.

I thought it was an excellent movie, and I didn't support the decision the Eastwood character made. This may be a religious thing, but I always felt the Lord will take us all in his own good time, although I don't personally want to be kept alive artificially if I am bound for ashes.

I just didn't see this as a movie in support of euthanasia any more than The Green Mile was anti-capital punishment.

My flaw in thinking may be that I went expecting to hate it.
