Watch what you say out loud; I believe this is a fight to the death for this country; and we all know the depths they are willing to go to.

What you say is absolutely true. I think that some of my family members have been rendered infertile because of their overt conservative, traditional, and deeply religious personality. Though American socialist are not as overtly violent as Soviets or Romanian Communists, there is an obvious evil that is neutering or trying to neuter our procreative nature. (Reference Romanian Communist tyrant Ceausescu: used microwaves/x-rays to expose an entire family in an adjacent apartment building...the secret police basically fried the outspoken and fearless family with radiation until the ENTIRE family died of cancer caused by radioactive poisoning).

I just deleted my homepage from another site (darn...had cute pictures too). We'll have a transparent society one day. Those who hate me with all intensity should know that I have no ill will against them, even if I "know" them in all of their exposed wickedness and malice--I still harbor no hatred, but pity and forgiveness.

Thanks for this ping. Lately I've been seeing more and more "newbies" (mostly newbies) appearing at first to have a lot of conservative values--and then saying or doing things that make the whole forum look bad. There was a phoney UN scandal "article" (unsourced) recently, just for instance (and it never was sourced either).

The "rumors" (as mentioned in a recent WaPo story) were just part of the problem--things are said on here that you just have KNOW are being quoted elsewhere--that it reaches the network news is not good.

As a known curmudgeon and controversial poster, I know full well how important it is to protect your identity. I have received death threats from posters. In fact, this morning when I signed on, I got a freepmail from a disturbed person who tiptoed around threatening me.

There are dangerous people in the world, everywhere.

The only thing I would add to your list is that making stuff up is important to anonymity as well. For example, not even JimRob has a functional e-mail address for me. Another example - when storytelling, only use fictional names and places.

I hate to publicly admit to this tactic (which I employ), because it will make other Freepers (with whom I have a mutual trust factor) think I am dishonest. I would prefer not to use this approach, but learned early on (back to the non-Internet BBS days) never to be forthcoming on public forums. So, am I prominent? Am I female - as the screenname and persona imply? Who knows.....
