Some of my favorite childhood memories are of watching the Three Stooges. I loved the pie fights, and to this day, I still want to take part in a banana cream pie fight. I laughed again when Moe shaved feathers and shaving cream off the turkey and then flung the mess off the razor with a splat! right into Larry's face. After cleanly shaving the turkey, Moe applied after-shave on the bird and massaged it like a barber. And many others love the Stooges, too. The Three Stooges still rate in the top ten of America's all-time favorite performers along with John Wayne, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Gleason. Up until a few months ago, the Three Stooges were still running in prime time in Germany. Now Warner Bros. is planning a Three Stooges feature film written by the Farrelly brothers (Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary). It will feature actors playing the Stooges in a modern-day adventure. The Three Stooges were actually the six stooges. Moe Howard and Larry Fine were always part of the act, but over the years, Curly (Jerome Howard), Shemp (Samuel Howard ), Joe (Joe Besser), and Curly Joe (Joe DeRita) joined in. Moe, Curly and Shemp were three of five brothers born to Jennie and Solomon Horowitz (who changed their last name to Howard). Moe's real name was Moses Horowitz. The Three Stooges are the most long-lived and notorious of comedy teams, but they are buried under a reputation as the lowest and the worst that the movies have to offer. But as a movie fan, I only demand one of two things: depth or, failing that, velocity without sentiment. Few comedy teams were as fast and unsentimental as the Three Stooges. And if they were as stupid as most critics assumed, their fingers would have been out of the public eye long ago. Even describing them seems beside the point. Surely everyone knows their act: Moe, the egotistical, bowl-haircutted leader using force (a slap, poke in the eye, or knock on the head) to ride herd on his partners: the emotive, frizzy-haired Larry, super-ego: Curly (and other third Stooges) as the id, the muscle of the group, yet easily cowed by the wrath of Moe. A woman named Nancy uses verses from 1 Corinthians 13 to help her cope with the frustrations of a busy family life. She calls verses 4 to 7 "Love's Check List" and refers to it when anger wells up within her.
Nancy gave an example of how she uses her check list. She was running errands one morning before she and her family were to leave on vacation. Her husband Bill was at home caring for the children and getting things ready for an early afternoon departure. When she arrived home after stopping at the grocery store, her mother's house, the post office, the bank, and the hospital to visit a friend, she found that all he had accomplished the entire morning was to wash and polish his car—which they weren't even taking on the trip!
Nancy was angry and said some harsh things to Bill. Within a few minutes the words of Love's Check List came to mind: "Love suffers long and is kind." She prayed, then she apologized to her husband for her angry outburst. He said he was sorry too, and they left that afternoon for their vacation—just a little late.
Next time you say angry, bitter things, remember Love's Check List in 1 Corinthians 13. Better yet, consider it before you say them. —Dave Egner

The FBI had an opening for an assassin. After all the background checks, interviews and testing were done there were 3 finalists. Two men and a woman.

For the last test, the FBI agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun. "We must know that you will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances. Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair. Kill her!"

The man said, "You can't be serious, I could never shoot my wife."
The agent said, "Then you're not the right man for this job. Take your wife and go home."

The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes. The man came out with tears in his eyes, "I tried, but I can't kill my wife."
The agent said, "You don't have what it takes. Take your wife and go home."
.
Finally, it was the woman's turn. She was given the same instructions, to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the
room. Shots were heard, one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, She wiped the sweat from her brow.

"This gun is loaded with blanks" she said. "I had to beat him to death with the chair."
.
MORAL: Women are evil. Don't mess with them.
