of course, all Willie wore was a leopard suit and black leggings a la zulus..... not as insulting as wearing a bogus uniform (Afrika Korps with a Swastika? No way) to a FANCY DRESS party....

How are they gay, if they've got a torch for each other?

Are we sure about the last sentence? Not that it matters, mind you. Just wondered if you really really knew.

How old would Princess Diana be now?

Agree, Diana was at least a ditz. I'm happy that Charles and Camilla can at last tie that knot Though they're old and frayed, they still care for each other and should have been married before Charles married Di. QE2 had her royal scepter in that rotten decision, much to her dismay a few years later when Diana turned out to be a passive-aggressive bi-polar lowlife determined to bring the House of Windsor down to suit her personal need for revenge against poor Charley who always wanted Camilla. Phew!

BBC says they will marry April 8. Camilla's title is HRH Duchess of Cornwall. Ok, if they wanna get married...FINE....but why should Camilla be HRH? Diana was the mother to the future king and she didn't get to keep HRH. I don't understand.

Wasn't there a recent announcement of a planned trip for Charles to visit the White House in the near future without his friend, Camilla? Maybe the timing of the wedding is such that Camilla can now accompany Charles as his wife.

Because Diana was a mentally deranged tramp who was not entitled to be HRH. She was a bottomless pit of emotional neediness and would have never *ever* been happy. Pity for Chuck is if he'd waited just a little longer he'd have been a widower! Anyway... Camilla was always his great love and it's about bloody time they got hitched. She didn't wait for him and married someone else as I understand it. Now, with the Princes grown, and Harry making a name for himself with the Nazi joke costume, they can get hitched without too much insanity. She'll just be Princess Consort just like Liz 2's hubby Philip is Prince Consort, *NOT* King. I doubt Harry's actually Chuck's son. It's all very sad, really.

Diana's offspring will probably be the penaltimate ruination of the British Monarchy. That was her dream anyway.

Diana was HRH, The Princess of Wales. When she divorced, she had to give up the HRH, but kept the Princess stuff (I think part of the divorce settlement). A princess beats a duchess, so Camilla won't have the higher royal title. OMG, do you understand the implications of having Camilla as the most public of princesses??? There go all the fairy tales!

Look at who her Mother was and the stories she wrote.

I think you are confusing her mother with Barbara Cartland, the romance novelist... she was something like Diana's step-grandmother, not her mother. I don't think they had much contact. As far as Diana's parents go, I think the more relevant point is the effect on Diana of a broken home and the related fallout after her parents' divorce. Now I have displayed more knowledge of the whole Princess Diana story than I care to admit. My defense is that I was at an impressionable age when she came into the spotlight... now I just find a lot of it tiresome and overhyped (the whole Diana-was-a-saint concept being the ultimate absurdity)....

I think HRH comes with the marriage. Camilla gets it because they are married. Diana didn't get to keep it when they divorced. If Camilla and Charles divorced, no doubt she would lose it too...

There go all the fairy tales!

I am not sure... in a way, there is something rather fairy-taleish about the lovers, parted by circumstance (or stupidity, I didn't say it's a perfect fairy tale) for more than thirty years, yet finally being reunited, etc., etc. I remember reading an article one time that talked about how Camilla might end up with more public sympathy... a lot of women might root for the unattractive older woman to finally get the prince over the blond beauty. Of course, there is the messy matter of intervening marriages, adultery, etc., etc. But some of the story, I have to admit, strikes me as kind of romantic. It is kind of like the ugly duckling girl finally triumphs over the blond cheerleader (talk about your mixed metaphors there... must get more coffee!).
