We knew what the premise of the Passion was.
Million Dollar Baby was advertised DECEPTIVELY- and a good many people are angry that they thought they were going to see a boxing movie and instead had the LEFTIST LIBERAL AGENDA shoved down their throat.

You probably didn't like Bridges of Madison County either, I guess. That Meryl Streep is such a s!ut homewrecker and Clint Eastwood nothing but a guy looking to get laid. You know if they made a movie like that, they must believe it's OK. /sarcasm.
To: jennyjenny
You know what- tell it to the old couple who thought they were going to see a movie about Boxing.

Nowhere has this movie been marketed as a feel good "ROCKY" type movie. Nowhere. I follow movies pretty closely and read a lot of reviews about this movie. The first mention of Euthanasia came from Medved. He has a right to do that, but he should cry about the attacks.

yeah , I see the difference.
it was based on a book. a FICTIONAL book. A book Eastwood
made a move about.
It's a MOVIE. Again, does 'Of Mice and Men' then promote killing the mentally handicapped? That plot twist wasn't told to me in advance of the movie.

I never read one single thing about this movie being a "feel good" movie about boxing. If it had been, I wouldn't have gone to see it. "Feel good" and "boxing" , in particular women's boxing, don't belong in the same sentence as far as I'm concerned. But that's just me.

Million Dollar baby is about Euthanasia- BUt only if someone REALLY REALLY NEEDS IT That's like saying "Lethal Weapon" was about shooting someone 10 times - but only if they REALLY REALLY NEEDS IT.
To: LauraleeBraswell
This movie was advertised as a feel good movie- About a woman who wants to box and...well it turns out it's about Euthanasia. Euthanasia is the central theme. Have you even seen it?
To: jennyjenny
A woman overcoming her hard-knocks street life, finding a coach who "doesn't coach girls" and working hard to become a championship boxer!
Only to be knocked out, and paralyzed, then as she is suffering her leg begins to rot out with infections, doctors amputate it, She has no will to live.
And then Clint Eastwood comes out with a needle. Oh, how sweet.

Have you seen this movie?
To: EveningStar
Michael Medved has a good point about the movie...how many after watching the previews could know it was a pro-assisted suicide flick and NOT a movie about boxing?

I've seen the advertisements- Why would I see it if I know it's about Euthanasia?
which is exactly why the advertising was so Deceptive.
