TROY, Mich. A fired K-mart executive has sued the Troy-based retailer, saying it fired him for his efforts to promote racial diversity among suppliers. How about promoting quality, low prices and good customer service? Or are these virtues too old-fashioned and not politically correct?
No wonder why wallmart has kicked their ass so completely.

"supplier diversity initiative"... that's pure unreasonable nonsense. As a for-profit organization K-Mart should focus on finding the supplier that will offer the best service for the lowest price. Not the supplier with the "correct" skin pigmentation.

Richard Cozart headed K-mart's supplier diversity initiative until last summer. The head of supplier diversity? Sounds like another jesse jackson corporate extortion. Who do they have to buy from, jesse's relatives?

Not the supplier with the "correct" skin pigmentation. Back in the days when California had MBE/WBE (Minority Owned, Women Owned Business) there was quite a little cottage industry of making companies compliant. Tokenism at its best and there was a long line of women and minorities who "owned" travel agencies, building contractor companies, etc.

How about diversity in corporate diversity trainers? Seems to me that the entire industry of diversity training consultants is made up of black women and they are making a ton of cash performing this dubious service.

Richard Cozart headed K-mart's supplier diversity initiative until last summer. Sounds like he was fat that got trimmed.

Oh no! You can't say that! You must be sent to a reeducation camp - report in the morning for brainwashing.

No wonder why wallmart has kicked their...Wal Mart has diversity among it's suppliers as well. A large percentage of their goods are now supplied by orientals (from Red China).
