The Rise of the Muslim Boys (Portents of Britain's approaching dhimmitude)
The Evening Standard ^ | February 3, 2005 | David Cohen

Posted on 02/05/2005 10:01:56 AM PST by quidnunc

Winston emerges menacingly from the kitchen, a meat cleaver in one hand and a kitchen knife with an eight-inch blade in the other. "I love knives," he says, his eyes gleaming as he begins to slash the air inches from my face.

"Guns make a f***ing noise, but knives go in," he pauses, " silentlike, easy." He begins stabbing the wall and hacking the plaster, and then, just as suddenly, stops, seemingly sated, like an addict who has had his fix.

He holds up his blades to inspect them. "F***ing quality," he says, and deposits them unceremoniously his trousers. Winston, 21, black and from south London, licks his teeth as he paces around the stripped-bare flat on a Peckham estate that serves as one of his gang's many secret hideouts. He speaks in his gang's uniquely coded lingo.

"Knives is f***-all. Later, my bruvs will be back from their robberies with our skengelengs [guns] and cream [money]. Later there be MACinside-10s [sub-machine guns] all over the floor, laid wall to wall. And moolah! We count it — 10 grand, 20 grand. Then, after midnight," he adds, matter-of-factly, "me and my bruvs go to mosque to pray."

Winston's casual depiction of a lifestyle of crime tightly bound up with religious observance would normally be regarded as paradoxical, but in his case it is what defines him. For Winston is a member of the Muslim Boys, a gang, the black community says, unlike any that has operated before in south London.

Now lets not make ridiculous comparisons like that. Both those knightly orders where charged with defending pilgrims, not rob, murder and deal in drugs.

Good evening quidich.

Of course, there are no comparable phenomena in the USA are there?

Is that Chip Shop mentioned in Monty Python still in Luton?

When I lived in Brooklyn, the Arab Muslims had street gangs who were largely involved in petty crime and some drug dealing (Marijuana and some heroin as well). There is also a group of blacks know as "5 Percenters" who combine Islam with pop psychology and are involved in criminal activity. Most of our gangs in the states have no religious affiliation.

I thought this piece was for real until I came to this. Great Britain has virtually banned private ownership of firearms, so this simply isn't possible. Right?

At some point we'll probably have to do another "Lend-Lease Act" similar to WWII and ship arms (handguns) to our confused, defenseless British compatriots. They just CAN'T go under from all this suicidal PC idiocy. The other Euroweasels will have to fend for themselves thi time. No more young American troops bailing out their sorry asses. In the final analysis it's always just us, the Brits and Aussies as a dependable coalition against the despots and fanatics.

Probably won't live to see 25. Pathetic loser.

So, what’s the Islamic mirror image of Matthew 19:3-12?

Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” “Haven't you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?” Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.” The disciples said to him, “If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry.” Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage* because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

*Or: have made themselves eunuchs

Isalm’s mirror image** appears to be:

Picktall, 033:050,052 ” O Prophet! Lo! We have made lawful unto thee thy wives unto whom thou hast paid their dowries, and those whom thy right hand possesseth of those whom Allah hath given thee as spoils of war, and the daughters of thine uncle on the father's side and the daughters of thine aunts on the father's side, and the daughters of thine uncle on the mother's side and the daughters of thine aunts on the mother's side who emigrated with thee, and a believing woman if she give herself unto the Prophet and the Prophet desire to ask her in marriage - a privilege for thee only, not for the (rest of) believers - We are Aware of that which We enjoined upon them concerning their wives and those whom their right hands possess - that thou mayst be free from blame, for Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. It is not allowed thee to take (other) women henceforth, nor that thou shouldst change them for other wives even though their beauty pleased thee, save those whom thy right hand possesseth. And Allah is ever Watcher over all things.

**The mirror would seems to be like the one referred to in I Corinthians 13:12: “For now we see through a glass, darkly…” in the King James Bible. Islam has a lot more to say about divorce, appropriate for a convoluted, legalist system.

Non sequitur? I'm sorry but you are going to have to explain this to me. I don't see what the Muhammadan teachings on divorce have to do with my post.

Islam is a distorted mirror image of Judaism and Christianity. So, institutions and behavior valued in the Judeo-Christian tradition appear in Islam as a distorted mirror image. Marital fidelity (one-man, one-women becoming one) is valued in in the Judeo-Christian tradition. In Islam, it's distorted to four wives, with no sex outside of marriage, except as allowed in Islam. Sort of a Kerry-esk "yes, BUT", mirror image of Christianity.

I'll bet you still don't understand what I've said.

But the conversions administered forcibly by the Muslim Boys are, says Imam Omar, totally anti-Islamic, as is their violent, criminal lifestyle

Tell that to the people of Constantinople, Northern Africa and Spain.

I'll bet you still don't understand what I've said.

I don't understan. Why would I not get it now that you have explained your post? I understand your meaning now. It was confusing to me because the mirror of I Corinthians 13:12 was a lament of Paul concerning man's own ignorince after the fall. And it is an ignorance that both Muslims and Christian (If Paul is to be believed) must suffer under because of our own fallen nature. God commands us to love and be loved, but we only know a part of the full meaning of this, is Paul's point I think. Thuse we see, but only as through a mirror and darkly.
