A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 2.4.05
Yahoo, White House | 02/04/05

Posted on 02/04/2005 3:09:55 PM PST by MJY1288

This morning President Bush participated in a discussion about Social Security reform at the Qwest Center Omaha Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. This afternoon he held another discussion about Social Security in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Robinson Center Auditorium. Finally late this afternoon the President attended a third town hall style meeting at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa Florida. At all three events President Bush was greeted by 10's of thousands of supporters, yet the mainstream media spends more time reporting about less than 2 dozen angry Democrats infected with the desease Liberalsim, than they spend on the Presidents message. We wont make that mistake here :-)

Iraqi villagers kill five insurgents who had bullied them, THEN TRASH THEIR VEHICLES!

This is particularly great news.

Isn't it amazing how the the whole world is starting to get mouthy to tyrants and bullies?

It took a magnificent U.S. President, our brave Armed Forces, and the courage of the Iraqi people to make it so.

I just printed the poem out for my husband (ex-military). Thanks for sharing it. How very moving. I saw her on H and C last night and she is a very impressive woman.

***He's got this speaking thing down, hasn't he?***

I don't know why it never hit me till today, but he spoke WITHOUT ANY NOTES, except for a piece of paper with the names and info about the people on stage with him.

You're right, he's got it down!

Isn't it almost surreal when you see him in person? IT's so different than seeing him in two dimensions on TV!

Yes, Luv W, I'm crazy about him! And my admiration for him and what he stands for and what he is doing on his mission in life grows deeper every day.

When I look at him, I often think of the parable of the talents, because that parable applies so perfectly to him. As a person, the adult George Bush has surely always been a pleasant, lovable, funny, talented, intelligent man from a privileged political background and family, with a Yale degree and a lot of money behind him. Left there, he could well have gone through life as just another rich man with a lot of unrealized potential, never accomplishing anything more exceptional than being a grown-up version of a privileged Yale party boy with a drinking problem.

But at some point in his life, he was transformed by accepting the Holy Spirit's purpose for his life. We continue to see him grow and be further transformed before our eyes by that acceptance every day. The talents that he possesses are being multiplied and used to do amazing things. Not the least of those talents is his total humility and his willingness to give the credit to God, to his family, and to those who surround him.

I also believe that it's his acceptance of God's mission for him in life that attracts people to him who share his exceptional ability to transform the world. For example, I don't believe for a minute that it's just an accident of fate that Condoleeza Rice came to know him and his family years ago, and has now been elevated to Secretary of State. I think that is the work of spirit.

There's a purpose to everything that happens in life, as there is to every life. And watching the unfolding of his life's purposes and how he has accepted that and been transformed by his acceptance is just amazing and wonderful to me.

OK here a joke to make you laugh....

A lobbyist, on his way home from work in Washington, D.C., came to a dead halt in traffic and thought to himself, "Wow, this seems worse than usual."

He noticed a police officer walking between the lines of stopped cars, so he rolled down his window and asked, "Officer, what's the hold-up?" The officer replied, "It's John Kerry, he is depressed, so he stopped his Land Rover and is threatening to douse himself in gasoline and set himself on fire. "He says no one believes his stories about his Medals from Vietnam, or the mission he supposedly went on in Cambodia on Christmas Eve 1968, and that his effort to become the President failed miserably, despite the MSM's help; the press called him on the lies about his voting record in the Senate, and now his wife dropped the "Kerry" sir name. So we're taking up a collection for him."

The lobbyist asks, "How much have you got so far?" The officer replies, "About 14 gallons, but a lot of folks are still siphoning."
