President and Mrs. Bush attended the National Prayer Breakfast in DC this morning.
President Bush took his "Social Security can be fixed" message directly to Americans.
The Senate voted 60-36 to confirm Judge Alberto Gonzales as United States Attorney General, with all of the "no" votes coming from Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independent Jim Jeffords of Vermont.
Any other descriptions of what the president or his chief advisors did today will appear next to the photos.
Enjoy today's visit to Sanity Island!

LOL--the last picture in #17.
I'm headed out the door; however, I wanted to post the following URLs first:

That's true. All of the emphasis has been on making sure that girls get "their share". I'm on the edge by thinking that boys really do need different things than girls do (and I don't just mean Ritalin so they can become as docile as girls).
I love what Laura is doing.
I'm glad he's getting out among the people to talk about his SS plan.
There's no way anyone would know what it was if it were left to the media.....
YAY!!!!
That's all the photos from me. Feel free to post others you find.
Me too. I thought it was a particularly interesting thing for her to want to get involved in. There are always things out there that don't get a lot of attention and it seems like she's picked a very worthwhile cause and one that she can definitely bring a lot of focus to.
Excellent! Thank you.
Did you hear what Rush said today? GWB is taking his message to the people. Let them decide. The Dim leadership (kind of an oxymoron) had its picture taken in front of FDR's statue - Dims playing to their willing accomplices in the media. No ideas, no discussion of varying points of view, just a picture of a bunch of socialists and a statue of their socialist hero.
Like they say on Star Trek, 'They're dead, Jim.'
I love seeing those words together. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Where do they get the energy? George and Laura are always on the go. We are so lucky to have them as our First Couple.
Thanks for the dose GEM. Isn't Barbara lovely?
