Many polled are leery of political compromises on core beliefs CHICAGO - Church-going Americans have grown increasingly intolerant in the past four years of politicians making compromises on such hot issues as abortion and gay rights, according to a survey released Saturday. At the same time, those polled said they were growing bolder about pushing their beliefs on others even at the risk of offending someone.

"Pushing their beliefs" is PC code talk for 'unwilling to embrace the perversion and sacrilege being shoved down their throats'.

A classic case of projection. "Pushing their beliefs" is what the PC crowd does, so it stands to reason that is how they would perceive it.

Big difference between being more vocal and being intolerant. I think the churches are finally finding their voices.

Many polled are leery of political compromises on core beliefs Regardless of Reuters' Christophobic spin, this is still bad news for liberal (R)'s, which is good news for conservatism.

I did a title search. Now if only the Boston Globe would stick to the original title. This happens to me every time, I wonder why I even try.

"Pushing their beliefs" is PC code talk for 'unwilling to embrace the perversion and sacrilege being shoved down their throats'.Let me reword that.
perhaps use of different words might allow the concept to sink in...
"Pushing my beliefs" is not the same as allowing every perversion and deviancy to be considered the same as normal behavior.
I will not allow you to force me to fund or otherwise promote your beliefs, and I shall do the same same with mine.
Fair enough?

Yes, those Christians are getting more outspoken. Time to smack them down!
To: Mark in the Old South
If church-goers are bolder, it's because those who oppose Christianity have been in their faces for several decades, pushing an agenda that is openly hostile to Christian values and essentially undemocratic. Church-goers know that the left pushes its agenda primarily through the courts--because it can't be achieved by means of the ballot box. They have reacted to this in predictable ways--by pushing back politically. For every action there's a reaction.

Unlike liberals and atheists. /sarcasm

Of course these folks who attack the Boy Scouts and anything Christian are not pushing their beliefs on anyone.
