Joining Senators Kennedy and Kerry in the Political Fossil Corner, Gorbachev called the Iraq elections fake, and a profanation. Senator James McDermottt, D-WA ("Baghdad Jim") emitted similar frantic wailings.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island.
AAWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Well, I for one am simply amazed that the Washington Post fashion editor hasn't seen fit to comment on this international fashion faux pas by George Bush.
I mean, he has disgraced us completely in the eyes of the international community and the NBA by showing up for a memorial to the NBA champions looking like an awkward boy whose mother forgot to dress him. I mean to tell you, wearing a blue shirt and a green tie? What was he thinking? Has he no respect? We all know what's important, and what he's wearing is definitely it.
After all, all he has done in the last two days was complete the liberation of another 25 million people. You'd think he'd have more time to pay attention to his wardrobe.
"Brit HUme's show ended today with a tribute that was choreographed to Iraq's national anthem and I became a blubbering mass. "
Wasn't that tribute just wonderful? I got to see that twice, and I broke down and shed tears both times.
I like it beautiful as the old saying goes about the fashion no no of blue and green being worn together "blue and green should never been seen" LOL
It certainly was; though did a tribute on Hannity and Colmes at end Brit's was much better.
And that tie was pea green at that. Horrors. ;-)
I was out all day Sunday and was unable to watch alot of what happened during the voting. Yesterday I was hoping to catch up and was unable to see as much as I would have liked. That tribute was about as much as I got to see, but I loved it.
A very late, thanks for the Dose, Gretchen.
I love ol' Barney. No matter what the pic shows him doing, he brings a huge smile to my face. The one of him in the snow on the South lawn of the White House that Wolfstar found, was just so cute. Black doggie in white snow just makes for a great shot, for sure.
I guess with all the coverage of the elections in Iraq, I didn't see any of the shots of the VEEP in Poland, so thanks for finding and posting those. The overcast skies seem so fitting for such an occasion.
I'm absolutely disgusted by Pelosi's (and the others) disrespectful and trashy comments. I'm thinking she had a lobotomy along with her eye-lift.
The horror of the Nazi death camps is something we have to remember and not allow repeated. I fear for those of the Jewish faith in many parts of the world...
They're self-destructing..desperate for power and meaning..and will attempt to take down anyone that gets in their way. Despicable.
A few members back in my family as well. Serbians.
aahhhhh! What a sweet picture.
Agreed. And if I may add: Cheney has a voice like liquid velvet. ;o)
Maybe she NEEDS a lobotomy, along with the eyelift?
And meanwhile, Boxer can get a hair transplant . . . :-)
I guess at least their useless trashy comments mean they can't make any objective comments . . . I think they're supremely stupid for doing this pre-buttal to the speech tomorrow night . . . but then again, he plays chess, not checkers!
How's your week going?
ROTFL! I love your tagline.
Beezie and Barney in the snow! Woo Hoo! They are SO cute!
**Agreed. And if I may add: Cheney has a voice like liquid velvet. ;o)**
You may indeed as there are many others of us that would agree with you LOL
