Welcome to the Internet Smile Factor.
Margaret Spellings was sworn in as the new Education Secretary.
President Bush welcomed the Detroit Pistons, NBA champions, in a ceremony at the White House today.
Bush named Dr. Jack Crouch II to be Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor. Dr. Crouch is U.S. Ambassador to Romania.
The president will give his State of the Union Address on Wednesday, February 2.
Joining Senators Kennedy and Kerry in the Political Fossil Corner, Gorbachev called the Iraq elections fake, and a profanation. Senator James McDermottt, D-WA ("Baghdad Jim") emitted similar frantic wailings.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island.

Those pictures of Cheney at Auschwitz are powerful. I haven't seen them before--thank you for posting them (and the dose).

Thank you so much for the pictures - the pictures of the President with the NBA champs and with the little one - daughter of one of the players, and for the pictures of Barney - ones have not seen.
To: GretchenM
Before I forget to comment on it, I see the President is wearing that sickly pea green tie again. (Picky, picky, picky). He favors solid-color ties, but if he's going to wear a green one, I'd rather it be sort of a sea blue-green.

It's just shameful, how low will they go before the reach absolute rock bottom (not that they're that far off as it is)
