Risky sexual behavior among Americans is putting the publics health at risk, according to a new CDC study.
Researchers found that the rates of early death and disability attributed to sexual behavior in the U.S. are triple those of any other industrialized country, and women bear the brunt of this public health burden.

Wasn't the sexual revolution so liberating? Freedom is great when you know that some freedoms are best avoided.
My liberal Chicago suburb of Oak Park wants to outlaw smoking in all restaurants because "public health always trumps economic concerns." This is in response to the restaurant and bar owners who are furious, because they will lose the business of smokers. So, if this is true, do liberals support closing down gay bath houses, because "public health always trumps economic concerns?"
Liberals suck.
But... DO THEY SMOKE?!?!?
It's Reagan's fault.

Abstinence: 1; Sexual promiscuity: 0
All this without even attempting to factor in the number of child deaths (abortions) from unwanted pregnancies resulting from some of these same risky practices.
So do gay's!
Thanks Mike! I don't know if you know much about Oak Park, IL, but it's probably the most liberal place in the US outside of Berkeley, CA. I'd love to post this pic of old Ronnie in every restaurant storefront. Would be hilarious.
Having lived in Chicago all these many years, I know Oak Park fairly well. It's right down there with the People's Republic of Evanston, IMHO.

Take heart. I live outside of Madison, WI. "Twenty Square Miles, Surrounded By Reality." An angry blue blotch in an otherwise red state. ;)
We're going through the "ban smoking everywhere" blues here, too. I don't smoke, so I don't really care, but I side with the business owners on this one, for sure.
Can't modern "reporters" dicern the Direct Object from Indirect Object? It is the PEOPLE PERFORMING THE ACTS who are putting others at risk, not the fault of the acts themselves! This is like the "SUV kills" thing that Rush s always yelping about.
So, abortion is an adverse health consequence. That's certainly a different way to look at it. I'm annoyed by the feminist/homosexual spin on the article though.... If you take out the most serious health risk the HIV/AIDs numbers for men, then mostly women suffer.
A "NEW" study?
Captain Obvious strikes again.

Oak Park is the suburb where the PTO's tried to revise the charters of the Cub Scout Packs they sponsored to put an anti-homosexual-disrimination statement in them. Mind you, Cub Scouts are from 1st to 5th grade. I don't know if the PTO's were worried about gay 5th graders or if this referred to the leaders. The Council (Des Plaines Valley Council in La Grange) refused to sign off, National backed them up (of course), and the PTO's refused to re-charter and let their Packs lapse. Most of the kids joined other Packs.
It's worth noting, by the way, that the BSA doesn't discriminate against all homosexuals; just those who are "avowed", by which they mean those who are open about their sexual orientation in public (e.g, around the kids). The concept that their sexual orientation is none of the kids' concern apparently escapes them.
Funny - Evanston and Oak Park have the highest percentages of gay residents in all of Illinois. Whoopee!!!!!!!!!
