A HERO SALUTES

Casey Owens, a wounded Marine, salutes as his mother Janna Owens cries during the inaugural speech by President Bush. The president pledged to work to heal a country divided by the Iraq war.

"We have known divisions, which must be healed to move forward in great purposes, and I will strive in good faith to heal them."

This picture should be a front page headline.

I don't think it should. He is an incredible hero. He has given more than his best for our country, and we owe him more than we can ever repay him.

Yeah, God bless him and his family. Good, that the ordnance didn´t hit his vital life functions. He´ll probably have a good life, despite of this. Seriously!

I know it bothers you, but the right of those idiots to protest against their government is one of the most important reasons this young man was fighting. IMHO, protests against our government are a celebration of everything that is great about this nation.

"You are so right. A fabulous photo such as this tells its own story."

The Marine and his mother's comportment combine to a synergistic effect of story.

An untouchable effect.
