Former President Jimmy Carter has been linked with a key figure in the U.N.'s oil-for-food scandal by the group leading the nationwide effort to evict the United Nations from American soil and halt U.S. funding of the U.N.

Too funny!

"Did President Carter know he was dealing with an agent of Saddam Hussein or was he just terribly gullible?" asked Morgan.

Put me down for another vote for gullible. Hey Democrats, he still has four years of eligiblity.

AIM Report: Saddam's Secret Campaign to Stop the War - December 23, 2004

"Ritter was involved in secret negotiations for a "peace plan" that had the approval of both Jimmy Carter and Saddam Hussein"

"Ritter told AIM he contacted former U.S. president Jimmy Carter about the plan, both directly and through former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev's office. (Gorbachev currently heads the Gorbachev Foundation, a Moscow-based think tank.) Ritter said, "When Carter first heard of it he indicated support. Then he decided as a former president he could not make the trip." However, once the plan became public, Carter planned on announcing his support of it, Ritter said.

Carter told AIM via a spokesman, "No such trip was planned," and cited travel and schedule considerations as reason to decline further comment."

On the John Batchelor program WABC tonight
a story, related to this
by Eric Shawn of the Fox News Channel
who has been working on this
along with the magnificent Claudia Rosset
of the WSJ and the Sun newspaper.

"Who's worried now, who's on the 38th floor?"

"This is the largest grand larceny in human history."

A grand jury in New York has indicted an Iraqi-American
the same Samir A. Vincent mentioned in this article
who is co-operating in hopes of a plea bargain.

He was an unregistered lobbyist for the Iraqi government
he received money and passed money
millions
and has named a 'high UN official'
who received a very large bribe in 1996.

This is the first time on record
of another high ranking UN official
(the first was Benon Savan)
receiving a bribe.

(This official could not be Benon Savan
who did not join the Oil for Food Program until 1997)

Mark Melloch-Brown (sp?) of the UN just a day before
made a statement said that there is trouble coming
and there will be a major overhaul of the upper echelons
of the UN.

The grand jury also is investigating Kofi Annan's son, Kojo.

Expect lots of new developments soon.

Yes - it's THAT Melanie....The Melanie that is on with Lee Rodgers every weekday...

Good for her..

'OIL' FEDS QUIZ KEMP

By NILES LATHEM Post Correspondent

January 20, 2005 -- WASHINGTON — Former Republican vice-presidential candidate and New York Congressman Jack Kemp has been questioned by the FBI in the U.N. oil-for-food scandal, it was revealed last night. Newsweek magazine reported on its Web site that the ex-Buffalo Bills quarterback faces scrutiny about his dealings with Virginia-based oil trader Samir Vincent, who earlier this week became the first figure to be formally charged with criminal wrongdoing in the $21.3 billion global scandal. The magazine identified Kemp as the former senior U.S. government official whom the feds said Vincent contacted on behalf of Saddam Hussein in an attempt to weaken and repeal sanctions on Iraq

I hope some FReepers/Protest Warriors are making some modifications to their signs for tomorrow that read something about this. Something like, "Investigate Carter's connections to Oil-for-food"

In my opinion RATS are never gullible when it comes to dirty money. They know exactly what they are doing!

Look at Slick's record for more proof.

It's long past due for them to be held accountable for what they do.

"I vote for gullible. Very gullible"

My vote is on willful, intentional, anti-American behavior..

Peanut Breath is still angry that his was a failed and inept Presidency, and is hell bent to punish Americans for not loving and respecting him as much as the Communist/Islamist bastards of the world, "love and respect him"....

Carter has always been the GOLD STANDARD for "useful idiot" to the enemies of America.

Carter wasn't really involved with the oil-for-food program; he just lusted after it in his heart.

"One of two things happened," suggests Morgan. "Either President Carter was totally duped, and allowed himself to be conned into working as an indirect agent of Saddam Hussein, or President Carter knowingly associated himself with a foreign agent who was seeking to undermine American foreign policy."

This is big. It'll be interesting to see how, or if, the media plays it.
