Jim Rob, could you please raise the number of pings to 100?

I've been bugged for months at the limit of 20 when I look up who has pinged me or responded to my posts. It used to be 250 was the limit but now it's 20 which is absurd. 100 should be the minimum.

The election is over with it's heavy traffic. Why is the limit 20? Is the server overburdened if this is raised.

People who are interested in a certain subject matter are all on a ping list. It's totally user-run. For example, I am on the list called the, "Puff List." The threads about smoking and tobacco are noticed, or posted, by a FReeper who keeps the Puff List, and they reply to the thread with a list of names which they sometimes have saved on their hard drives in WORD format, or something similar.

I find that though well intended, individuals put you on a ping list and you have to go through the process of asking them for removal.

My PBS/NPR ping list is 100% opt in.

Sometimes the list will hit 1-5 times in a day...other times we may go a day or two without a ping. If you still want on...let me know. :)
