This happened to me when I was 13, but she wasn't a teacher. She was my friend's divorced mother. I haven't had any hangups over it, but it was pretty emotional at the time. This whole episode makes me heartsick for our kids. I would go balistic if I thought for one moment that a teacher (I know them all) or another "Townie" was doin' my son. Good God! As a guy who grew up in a VERY conservative Church of Christ environment,
and attended good quality public schools...

I remember back in high school there was a bit of controversy surrounding one of the government teachers and some of the high school boys. It was later rumored that she was teaching at a law school -- of all things. I know the girlfriends of the boys involved were not happy about the situation.

I'm really ambivalent about this issue.I was emphatuated with my 11th grade english teacher who was probably 22 yrs old. Quite frankly i don't believe a couple of "encounters" would have hurt me one bit.On the other hand you do need standards of behavior that hold male and female teachers equaly resonsible.
