Visiting with U.S. troops in Baghdad on Thursday, failed presidential candidate John Kerry trashed Commander-in-chief George Bush for making "horrendous judgments" and "unbelievable blunders" that have undermined the war effort.
In a series of demoralizing comments first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, the defeated Democrat griped, "What is sad about what's happening here now is that so much of it is a process of catching up from the enormous miscalculations and wrong judgments made in the beginning."
Kerry said that because of the Bush administration's mistakes, "the job has been made enormously harder."
Among the errors cited by the disgruntled Democrat: the decision by former U.S. occupation leader Paul Bremer's to disband the Iraqi army and purge the government of former members of Hussein's Baath Party.
Both moves were have fueled the Sunni insurgency, he claimed, lamenting, "Mistakes have been made."
Then, perhaps sensing he'd gone too far, the 2008 White House hopeful cut short the Bush-bashing, saying, "Now, it's a different time and different set of judgments that have to be made. I'm here to make judgments about what moves are available to us."
He hasn't got a thing to say about any moves anywhere. He LOST.
He hasn't changed though, he still does what ever he can to discourage and demoralize the troops.
TRAITOR!!!
So who told John there were billionaire widows in Baghdad? Come on, 'fess up!
Kerry is an embarrassment. He's over there, carping and complaining, and making the military's job harder. Someone should kick him where it hurts. TerAYsa should cut his toy allowance.
Kerry should be called the TRAITOR that he is!!! No longer any doubt!!
Tonk, please get your guys to 'have a meeting'. The Vets and the Swifties need to get back out there ON TV and make comparisons to what this ASSCLOWN is doing ALL OVER AGAIN.
Many months ago I was of the same opinion on the basis of Machiavelli's observation that nothing is so hard as replacing an existing order of things since those displaced fight fiercely and those to who are about to benefit are uncertain because the benefits are not observable and experienced.
Presumably, it was determined that this would not be the approach because the Baathists were unreliable and would not be trusted by the Sunni and Kurd majority. This was undoubtedly a well thought out judgment call. As such it should be honored as part of our foreign policy.
Kerry's criticisms, especially in the theater of the conflict, are inexcusable. The man has no class, is a crass opportunist and his critique will not inspire the loyalty and support he craves. Men know better!
Once upon a time, American partisan politics 'ended at the water's edge'.
The Dems have made themselves the enemy of our Constitution and of our men and women in uniform.
The only accurate term left to describe them is 'traitor'.
"Has he submitted for a Purple Heart yet for jet lag?"
Howl! I'm sure he has been strafed by the blowing sand. Blowing right up his ass...essment.
come on now if your going to report it at least get the name right, it's JINJUS KHAWN isn't it?
Later, I see Kerry in photo ops with US soldiers; maybe they were Mass NG, I don't know.
This last, Kerry's denouncement of the administration in Iraq while at the time Congress was certifying the electoral votes and the Senate Judiciary Committee was grilling the President's selection for Attorney General marks Kerry again as a slacker Senator and an anti-American fifth columnist. Kerry went beyond bounds in 1970, made a career based on his anti-American activities, and continues to this day in 2005.
The Navy took the wrong approach in the '70s. The Navy should have had Kerry undergo psychological evals and booted his ass out as a Section 8. Megalomaniac.
Kerry is still Section 8.
Avoiding the Congressional Certification of the Electoral College - of course!
Kevin Bacon told me there was no such thing as a code red.
Was he lying to me?
I wouldn't put it beyond sKerry to pin a Purple Heart on a soldier/marine in Iraq. Unlike sKerry's, I'm sure those men got wounded by someone other than themselves to get theirs.
When are we going to see all of Kerry's Navy records? Didn't he receive a less than honorable discharge due to his giving aid and comfort to Hanoi? Does Kerry think his 4 months in Vietnam qualify him to second guess our generals and the Commander-in-Chief on Iraq? He and Chappy Kennedy are fine representatives of the Jackass Party!
Too bad the GOP controlled Senate
AND
Main Stream Right Wing Media
are afraid of Hanoi Kerry.
Saw a picture of him with the soldiers. Only four soldiers gathered around him, and they looked alternatively bored, repulsed, suspicious and incredulous, complete with cool body language. Take your pick. The one thing they were not is enthusiastic.
bttt
John Kerry can't hep it, he was born with a red diaper in his mouth.
