....Every Day

FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders;  tell a few jokes;  learn a new word;  write poetry;  pray for those in need;  and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I could no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I had been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.

Still that didn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why we've created a place for just that. This is a friendly room in JimRob's house where FReeper FRiends can gather every day and just say hello if that's all they want to do.

There's more of course. We sometimes feature different FReepers, with a little background information on who they are and what makes them who they are, along with a few photos you might not have seen on other threads; sometimes others write an essay for us to post as the feature for the day; sometimes our presentation is a human interest story found elsewhere that you might not have read; sometimes special holiday threads; but whatever the topic of the day, it is always with FR's Finest in mind and that is YOU!

Every Monday we will post the photos of FR's Military Personnel that I have collected and put into groups; these will be available to view through a link the remainder of the week - every day just a click away. :)   If you would like to add a photo of yourself or a loved one in the military, past or present, please let me know; I will hold it until I have enough for a new group.

I have my suspicions who it was and God willing I will find out.

Julianne never spoke the words she is accused of. My wife is a caring loving, God fearing Woman.

Why was the thread pulled? I had a chance to read it and comment when I got home from work, and the "troll" really had me MAD! I hope it is not someone locally who is harassing you guys! With God's help and guidance, this too will pass!

I am surprised it got pulled. I had a few more comments to make.

Your wife has been doing a bang up job. She has been articulating the issue both verbally and in writing extremely well and most intelligently and has turned it all into something quite positive. The overreaction to the underlying incident, afforded her an excellent opportunity to get out the good news about adult stem cell research. And viewed from that perspective, it's TRULY amazing.

I certainly do not want to see all the good that has come about from the turn about of events ruined, so perhaps it is best that the thread was pulled. Please continue to keep us posted.

The builders of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) like to show us their products in mind-boggling situations. High on a mountain crag, where no truck could seemingly go. Or in a swamp so impassable you'd need a hovercraft to negotiate it. We're supposed to think that SUVs are invincible.

That's why I found unintended humor in the disclaimer in a recent ad for a four-wheel-drive SUV. A photo showed the vehicle up to its headlights in water as it forged across a foreboding river. The ad said: "Traversing deep water can cause damage, which voids the vehicle warranty."

Deep water is a problem not only for cars but also for us. As we travel the roadways of life, we often find ourselves surrounded with oceans of grief or crashing waves of broken relationships. We need help.

The writers of the Psalms told of that needed assistance. They said God is "a refuge in times of trouble" (9:9), and that "in the time of trouble He shall . . . set me high upon a rock" (27:5). No disclaimers here. Traversing deep water won't affect our spiritual warranty. God will always be there to guarantee His support.

An island resident wrote a letter to the editor in the buffalo news that is full of lies about what my wife said the the kids on her school bus.

Someone came and posted it and ran here at freerepublic.
the title to the thread was "what the mayors wife really said to the kids on the bus".

A coward, come here make serious accusations and then run.

I was suprised the thread was pulled. I got home and there was 300+ posts.
Usaually when there is a troll or disrupter post it is pulled rather quickly.

I freep mailed the mod asking them to change the title of the thread to the title of the article.
That after all is the policy here so there isn't duplicate posts.
I had plenty more to say but had to work and a friend came over.
Once I was back on I refreshed it and it was pulled.

They never changed the name.

I have a good idea where the disrupter came from.
I was responding to a thread in a local forum and they were in attack mode and I was alone with no back up.
One of the local posters said that she was pro gay marriage blah, blah, blah...
I responded with some quotes from the fuonding Fathers about Church and State and the Truth about homosexuality being an abomination in the eyes of The Lord.
I guess they were unhappy with the Truth.
The owner of the forum has been wanting me to stay he claims he wants more Conservatives there to join in on the conversations.
I can only ask why? so we can be open for relentless attack?
Sorry, I can only take so much. I have mentioned FreeRepublic so he was able to track this site down and I am pretty sure one of them was the disruptor.

I think they found out rather quicky just how Conservative this place is and they were overwhelmed at the quick responses of our fellow Freepers.
There were also many inconsistancies with their responses when they were reviewed. It was rather easy to see they were only here to attempt to discredit me and Julianne.

I will see what else I can find out..

Again Thank you for the support, we need it and Yes my wife has been a Trooper through all this.
She will be in LA filming the Larry Elders show on Friday.
