1010 WINS has learned that "Law and Order" star Jerry Orbach has died of prostate cancer at the age of 69. His manager, Robert Malcolm confirmed Orbach's death this morning.
Tony Award winner Jerry Orbach (Promises, Promises) earned a reputation as the quintessential New Yorker through his work in such films as Prince of the City and Crimes and Misdemeanors, as well as for his roles in Broadways 42nd Street and on NBCs Law & Order. Orbach has been honored with the Crystal Apple Award from the New York City Mayors Office of Film, Television and Broadcasting for his contribution to the arts, and was presented with a lifetime achievement award from the Friars Club of New York.

Darn darn darn. I didn't know he had prostate cancer and was just recently wondering why he was no longer on Law & Order. Sad news.

Are they going to write him out of Law And Order? He's been around practically forever so this comes as something of a shock. Jerry Orbach WAS the quintessential New Yorker. He lived his entire life in the city.

Another fine actor lost. The list of living "fine actors" is growing thin.

Yeah, I can't watch the new L & O, they throw to much left wing political bias in the show now.
To: arasina
FR just announced it on 12/2. Eerie few lines, though.
