I was talking about authentic Christians vs inauthentic Christians. But yes, I do believe that Jesus is the Only way to God. Your argument is with Him on that score. He was either who He said He was, or He was an idiot.
You're still hung up on labels.
John 20:17
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God.
Jesus makes no distinction between himself and the others. You left another option out of your choices. Someone may have attributed words to Jesus that he didn't say.

Hey, another ironic juxtaposition. Two can't be a mere coincidence, clearly God is telling you something...

I just heard there are 60 dead in Krabi, where I was about 3 weeks ago. Because of the time of the day, I am fairly certain that the dive boats I was on are lost, as were the ones out of Phuket that I have dove off of many times.
I'm stunned.

A view of the damage caused by a tsunami at a beach in Phuket, about 535 miles south of Bangkok, Dec. 26, 2004. The wave was triggered by an earthquake in the Indian Ocean and it tossed cars around like toys on Thailand's southern tourist playground on Sunday and swept into luxury hotels on Phuket Island, killing at least 120 people in the region, officials said. Boats are slammed into shops on shore after the area was hit by tidal waves at Patong beach in Phuket, Thailand, Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004. The most powerful earthquake in 40 years triggered massive tidal waves that slammed coastlines across Asia on Sunday, killing more than 500 people in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Thailand. The U.S. Geological Survey (news - web sites) said the 8.9-magnitude earthquake in Indonesia is the largest in the world in 40 years. (AP Photo/Karim Khamzin)

Its very scary. Its weird, but most of the people who drowned are that shown in the photos look like they are sleeping.

In Peru there's Lake Titicaca. The Peruvians think the name is hysterical. A great love of word play, especially if it involves bodily functions. My sister in law who lived there for 17 years, got a pedometer for Christmas - ped is slang for fart. :-D

N&V, I have a friend who lives in Kerala, please ping me or freep me if you learn of any specifics from there. I don't remember the name of the town she's near, but could probably find it on a map. I'm going to get my atlas now.
Thanks,
Pinz

When you talk about monitoring very large earthquaks, like this one, from stations all over the world, there are a variety of wavepaths that need to be considered. some of the measurements are from waves that have traveled through the core of the earth, reflecting and refracting off of the differnet layers.
The P-waves (compressional waves, like a sound wave) can travel through both solids and non-solids (like the molten outer core). S-waves (shear waves) can only travel through solids, so wave path solutions "image" the boundary layer of the outer core. It will take several days of computing to sort out all of the data.

10 meter displacement is massive - no wonder there was an ocean basin-wide tsunami. By way of comparison, the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 had a maximium lateral offset of about 6 meters and the Fort Tejon (southern California) earthquake of 1857 have a vertical and lateral offset of about 9 meters.

"How long after the earthquake did it take the tsunamis to hit?" It depends on what causes the tsunami. This one appears to be spawned by seafloor displacement at the time of the earthquakes. A recent tsunami (couple of years ago) which hit the south coast of Indonesia was caused by an underwater landslide which occurred several hours after the earthquake - which undoubtedly "loosened up" the land mass prior to the slide.
