Your dad's a good egg. I know how much he helped with the Free Republic efforts. Doesn't surprise me to find out that a number of other organizations will also be missing his help too. That's a common thing I've seen over the years. Those that are very giving, you only know a small part of it. At the funeral or viewing, you find out that you only knew a piece of it and you wonder, how did they manage to do all that?
This is a shock! May he RIP and he will be missed.
Godspeed my FRiend.
Your post shows how very quickly this happened. The best thing I can say about this is that it appears it he didn't suffer very long.
Prayers for our Lord's Comforting Presence to Abide with his family.
Someone who doesn't fear for what's to come, because he already knows that he's made his peace with God.
This is very sad news.

Prayers to his family upon losing such a fine man.
Condolences on the loss of your father. He was certainly one of the good ones! I will miss him; FR will miss him. But it sounds as if his children are following in their father's footsteps in his service to others, a sign of the impact Dave had on those in his life. Rest in peace, SSgt Sublett, and God bless.

Rest well, my Brother, in the Celestial Lodge Above, where the Supreme Articifer of the Universe presides.
Another good FReeper gone to his reward.
May David rest in peace.
Condolences to his wife, his children, and his many grandchildren.
Rest in peace, Staff Sgt. David Scott Sublett (Militiaman7).
Sorry to hear of his passing. Prayer going up for his family.
One small thought; though gravely ill, he was able to do his part in the 2004 campaign, vote for GW and see his Republican President achieve a wonderful victory. Must've made him smile.
