Steven Wright has the monotone delivery of an escapee from a mental institution (like Brian Becker except that Becker has a Stalinist undertone and lacks the humor of Wright).
I like to read the Wright jokes, but IMHO the jokes are funnier when Wright delivers them.
How appropriate! Look what I got in email. My Invite!
DELETING MY NAME Invitation: Inaugural Party for the President
Date: Fri, 17 Dec 2004 11:10:30 -0500 (EST)
Republican National Committee Dear Lisa,
Just six weeks ago, America spoke - loud and clear - and re-elected President George W. Bush.
In just over five weeks, on January 20, 2005, the President will be sworn in at an Inaugural Celebration in Washington, DC. They say the Inaugural is a celebration of the President, but it is really a celebration of you and the work you did on the campaign to ensure the President's agenda moves forward.
You're invited to join us at an Inaugural Party for the President, or to host one in your home. www.GOP.com/Party
Those who hosted or attended a Party for the President through the campaign's website know how easy it is to open your home and invite your friends and neighbors to join you in a celebration of our President's re-election. For the next four years, we'll keep the Party going on www.GOP.com.
If you have never hosted a Party for the President, it couldn't be easier. Just visit the Party for the President page, tell us when and where your party will be held, and we'll make sure you get everything you need - including a letter from the President thanking you for your Party and welcoming all of your guests.
After all the hard work of the last year, you deserve to have some fun. What better way to celebrate the re-election for which you worked so hard than toasting with friends and family the swearing in of the President.
Visit www.GOP.com/Party to get started.
Thanks again for all you've done.
Sincerely,
DELETING AUTHORS NAME FOR KICKS AND GIGGLES
P.S. On January 20, 2005, President George W Bush will be sworn in to begin his second term. The Inauguration is a celebration of you, and all you have done to ensure the President's re-election. There's no better way to join the celebration than holding an Inaugural Party for the President with your friends and family. Visit www.GOP.com/Party to get started.
So am I on the A list? B list? C list?
Hi Brian!!! :waves:
:) I was teasing you. I won't think about it. Moving right along ;)
Cool,,, On ward Christian soldgers, marching for righteousness. Remember ? GOD uses the simple things to confound the wise, and the humble and simple things to bring down those things that are high and mighty. God reveals his mysteries and secrets to the simple and humble.
>>>Steven Wright has the monotone delivery of an escapee from a mental institution
Maybe that is why he makes me laugh. I was corrupted at a young age with Three Stooges, Looney Tunes and the Marx Bros :)
I laugh at Political Incorrectness.
maybe someone can invent a popcorn machine like that. It would be so cool at a NEW YEARS PARTY.
Well, if you want to march along with us....
Select your location, fly your flag, meet your follow Network and join in!
FR is more than a message board. Meet the Network.

I meant on your profile. and you need to fly your state flag to get plugged into the local for your state contacts.
I was wondering what you were doing with those lines.
You were trying to draw a flag ::laughing::
Sorry.
go to your profile and edit yourself :)
Ok...
Yeah, I love Steven. He's way out funny. Thanks. I miss seeing that guy perform.
Smiling...I know.
Goodnight Calpernia.
If only I had known about the presser in advance, I would have ttaken time off work to be there in person, and to ask Miss Becker and Mr. VerHeyden-Hilliard to explain their affiliation with the Workers World Party. Brian and Mara don't like me too much. They think I'm a government SPY! (GASP!)
But WAIT!!!
It's available on CSPAN as video-on-demand.
...
Brian is crying about having put in for permits 11 months ago, for Freedom Plaza, Pershing Park and the Navy Memorial and several other locations along the Inaugural Parade route.
Sorry baby Brian, but Kristinn and Angelwood beat you to those locations - they put in for those permits for those locations long before you did. The early bird catches the worm, don't you know - and it appears that you all are the worms!
It looks like those beautiful American parks and memorials will be peopled by America-loving patriots, and not your nasty communist rioters this time around.
We remember what your comrades did on January 20, 2001 at the Navy Memorial and elsewhere on the parade route, and we say "Never again!"
HoHoHo - Merry Christmas.
Good morning and thanks for the ping.
Yes, it is on demand but I see it is scheduled to be replayed at 5:27 this morning on C-SPAN1.
What alphabet agency are you on your way too? I know, then you'd have to kill me. :)
I was in depression when I saw the coverage on TV last night about the Canswer group. Now I'm cheering you guys for your thoughtfulness.
